It was with deep sorrow we received news of the death of the 12 Navy Men of the Special Boat Squadron who became the targets of an unmanned terrorist suicide boat.
This is in memory of your heroism and the sacrifice of your lives to Lanka your motherland.
It is thanks to heroes like you that Sri Lanka is what it is today,
a unitary Sovereign State where the Sinhala, Tamil , Muslim and other Communities live together as proud children of the same land for the love of which you have given your lives.
This land for which you gave your lives has been sanctified by five visits of the sublime Buddha.
May you all attain Nibbana.
