Lamborghini culture, Executive Presidency, the Villagers and village roads, and living conditions of women working in Industrial Zones.

Minister Champika Ranawaka  had said at a gathering of scholars, scientists and business leaders, that Sri Lanka is currently implementing an economic system showing Lamborghini to people surrounded by poverty.  It is always pleasant to hear sweet words of praise , but when  those sweet words turn to bitter words of  criticism they should be taken seriously.   Ministers Champika’s  statement is a timely warning to which the President Mahinda Rajapakse and his Ministers should pay urgent attention.

No body can deny the tremendous infrastructure development and economic growth of Sri Lanka ever since   President Mahind Rajpakse had been elected as  the executive President of Sri Lanka.  Sri Lanka government on its own could not have brought about this development process that astonish the critical opposition.  It was definitely the willingness of China, Russia, Japan, and Iran to  place their trust in President Rajapakse which enabled those countries to invest in Sri Lanka and  finance the Government projects that enabled fastest development of Sri Lanka in all its aspects.

Even America  depends on loans from China to avoid another financial crisis , therefore the criticism of the Sri Lanka  Government  for taking loans  is incorrect, and  made solely to discredit the government.  Those loans have been utilised  well  and results are evident  for any one who had visited Sri Lanka five years ago and visiting Sri Lanka now.

Mahinda Rajapakse has embellished the august position he holds as the executive President of Sri Lanka with  no previous  Presidents or Prime Ministers had ever equalled.  No one can also deny  that despite  all  the derogatory adjectives his local opponents invent  to down grade the President, that  none of them are  or will ever  be able to equal the  visionary  role of Mahinda Rajapakse as  the  executive President.  He chased away fear,  providing the people with peace, and security. He developed  Sri Lanka to the extent of making enemies of the Western leaders  who were put to shame  with his remarkable foresight and success as a  political leader-a Statesman  of the modern world.

The Executive Presidency-  that every one of his  opponents wants to abolish including a prelate who should better occupy the  vocation for which he had been enrobed,  than dabble in politics which is  by all means not  for which he had accepted to put on a  saffron robe, fits well for the President Mahinda Rajapakse .

There is no one amoung the  present day politicians of Sri Lanka that could have held that office more honourably than the present Executive President Mahinda Rajapakse.  It is better that the office of Executive President is abolished after Mahinda Rajapakse as it could be dangerous  in the hands of  an ambitious  characterless individual.

The President Rajapakse is a very clever,  political leader   utilising his position not to embellish himself, but  use it to the maximum for the welfare of his country and his people.  If not for him we would not have seen  the now common innumerable lowly manifestations  shouting slogans against the President and his government.

If we had another executive President in his  place,   who not knowing how to end terrorism would have groped in political darkness in a  reduced space left to govern,  being  encircled by the advancing terrorist forces,  made fearless by their own collaboration with them.

It was the executive President Premadasa who armed the terrorists. It was  the executive President Chandrika Kumaratunge who  treated the terrorist as equal partners in the famous  P-TOMS agreement in distributing funds for reconstruction of  tsunami affected areas. And it was Ranil Wickramasing  not even as  a President, turning his back to the elected Executive President Chandrika Kumaratunga signed the CFA with the terrorist leader demarcating territories to  be kept under terrorist control.

But Mahinda Rajapakse when he was elected the President knew what exactly he was going to do.  He knew how to make the government and the Armed Forces  take responsibilities,  one to govern and the other to provide security and eliminate terrorism.  He appointed able people for their proved ability, not because they were his family members to make them partners of his vision of Sri Lanka without terrorism .

President Mahinda Rajapakse appointed Gotabhaya Rajapakse as the Defence Secretary not  because he was his brother,  but because he was a retired Lt. Colonel of the Sri Lanka Armed Forces twice decorated by the Executive President J.R.Jayawardhane. He could be  credited for his military experience having fought against terrorism for twenty years,  and trusted more than any body else being his own younger brother.

After the elimination of  terrorism, Mahinda Rajapakse turned to  develop the country in a big way. As a true Leader he gave responsibility to those  who were selected as his  Ministers without interfering into their work.  Some of them may have erred, while  others have done well, but it is usual that if some thing goes wrong, the blame comes to the leader.

But the Executive President Mahinda Rajapakse withered accusation, and undeterred changed  Sri Lanka into a country well known in the World not bound to West or East but opening itself to rich as well as poor Sovereign States of the world as an equal without discrimination against  the forms of governments, their religious beliefs, or for their wealth or their military strength.  For that he earned the wrath of the Western Countries. But to day Sri Lanka is a friend of the countries of the Middle East, the Countries of Africa, the countries of Asia, and the countries of the East Asia and the Pacific.

Years after these achievements it is time to take account of what has been achieved as well as where things have gone wrong. When things go well there is always the tendency to continue without change, without wanting to change the old habits. Along with progress and prosperity comes corruption, this is not surprising  in the field of politics. President Mahind Rajapakse is not unaware of what is going on, but he being a man who does not precipitate into action without looking at a problem from different  aspects would at the end find  an acceptable solution.

The Executive President Mahinda Rajapakse never  misused his executive powers, but his opponent  make mountains out of mole hills,  as there is nothing else they could invent to make the President unpopular. They have tried and continue to try to make an issue of  drug trafficking.  But drug mafia today is a global problem. No country has so far stopped the dangerous  large scale drug business. His opponents make use of religious conflicts involving the  Sinhala Buddhist Community and the Muslim Community .

This Muslim adventurism coming from the States of the Middle East is threatening even their own Islamic Governments. Wahabism, Boko Haram, Alquaeida, Caliphate  are dangerous  branches of changing Muslim political trends.  Sinhala Buddhists cannot turn a blind eye to it.  As much as the Muslim Groups defend the rise of  Islamic religious fanatism, the  Sinhala Buddhist Community has to take  defensive moves to  protect their own religion and culture.

These movements  are not sponsored by the Government, and so far the Government has managed to pacify the parties. The  Muslims cannot ask for  more privileges, like the Tamil Community had been doing  since Independence. The problem could be solved  by the Sri Lanka Muslim Community  taking into  account the  danger to their own religion coming from out side,  and stop  falling into situations like those of Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Central Africa , etc:, and  begin a peaceful dialogue with the other Communities, avoiding head on clashes, which would neither help the Muslim nor the Sinhala Community.

What appears to be wrong in Sri Lanka’s development processes is  in making  the development projects more tourism  oriented.  Infrastructure development of highways, railways, building bridges are highly appreciable as with those progressive projects  Sri Lanka is  opening itself to unimaginable opportunities in the future.

But we have to know when the tourism oriented development  should be deviated  to people oriented development  to give the masses the  benefit of  what Sri Lanka regained after  suffering under terrorism. The Ada Derena television show villages where progress of development has not still reached. They live in unmotorable areas and still lift  patients seated on chairs to  carry them to a doctor or a hospital. They have no medical aid. There  are many villages without proper  roads, without fresh water, and without electricity.

It is important that  Sri Lanka  constructs more hotels, more tourist resorts, open  elephant orphanages, etc. but to what extent should this tourist  oriented development continue.  There seems to be no lack of ideas to develop the country for tourism.

Car racings are good in countries where ordinary people can  take part in this sport. This like Golf links would cater to some  tourists and few of the new rich, but the larger proportion of  the people will not benefit from such sports in whatever scale they are organised. Are these sports organised for the sake of the income they generate  or because of the prestige to the country that may come with them ?

There are artificial off shore Islands being constructed  in the South and in Colombo spending large sums of money.  There  was a  proposal to make such an artificial Island exclusively for motor racing.  Some one had even proposed cable cars  in Sri Lanka to attract more tourists. How far will this tourist oriented development continue the people continue to ask ?

With all these tourist oriented developments Sri Lanka has  had only one million tourists in 2012 compared  to   Phillipine’s  4.3 million tourist, Vietnam’s 6.8 million and Indonesia 8 million tourists.

The Minister of Transport had  stated that he was buying a fleet of Indian buses.  But the Minister  has never thought of buying small buses to ply on village roads.    The big TATA buses plying on village roads, damage the village roads and  are a nuisance for the poor villagers using the road for their daily errands as the bus takes the whole road and some times put the villagers in danger.

The opposition parties cry loud about commissions on development projects.  They have forgotten selling public enterprises to private individual for  amounts far lower than their real value, what happened to the difference in cash values of those enterprises.  DS Senanayake was supposed to  have kept with him documents showing the underhand dealings of his Cabinet of Ministers including that of G.G.Ponnambalam’s tractor deal which he  brandished when they were troublesome.

There was recently a report in  Ada Derana television showing the living conditions of women working in the  Industrial Zones in apparel industry and such like. They live in almost shanties, without proper water, electricity and without any security.  This in a country where tourists have every thing they  want at their command, which  is not a fair deal for those  who bring in revenue to government coffers. The owners of these Industries should provide hostel facilities for these women at a nominal rate, as many of them come from distant  places and cannot return to their homes after their work.  That may also increase their productivity living and working satisfactory conditions.

Therefore, Minister  Champika Ranawaka’s raising  of danger signals in good faith has to be taken seriously  into consideration by the President and the Government and make amends.

How morally clean are UK, US politicians demanding investigation into Sri Lanka’s rightful war against terrorism ?

Andy Coulson,  David Cameron’s former Director of Communication who was hired to write  his biography along with Lord Ashcroft has been jailed for 18 months for phone hacking an illegal practice under the British Law. Later Cameron apologised for the appointment.

Though phone hacking is ruled  an illegal practice in UK, in USA the President Barrack Obama has been caught practicing this illegal practice.  It was reported that,
President Barack Obama
was dragged into the trans-Atlantic spying row after it was claimed he personally authorised the monitoring of Angela Merkel’s phone three years ago.
The president allegedly allowed US intelligence to listen to calls from the German Chancellor’s mobile phone after he was briefed on the operation by Keith Alexander, director of the National Security Agency .”

The USA National Security Agency has admitted to monitoring telephone conversations of 35 world leaders.  After the revelation of this American practice  e Angela Merkel the Chancellor of Germany burst out in anger ,  and is  said to have called  USA President Obama directly to say, “that she unmistakably disapproves of and views as completely unacceptable such practices, if the indications are authenticated, this would be a serious breach of confidence. Such practices have to be halted immediately."

Obama has admitted the illegal method utilised by his Agency, and said “….that her phone is not being monitored now – and will not be in future.”  But the US has pointedly declined to discuss the NSA’s actions in the past.

Even France had resorted to this illegal phone tapping though not to the extent of USA.  “John Kerry, the US secretary of state, received a dose of European fury this weekend when he visited Paris and Rome. The trip was arranged to discuss the Middle East peace process, the Syrian civil war and Iran’s nuclear programme. Instead, he was confronted by outrage over the scale of US surveillance operations.

“The magnitude of the eavesdropping is what shocked us,” said Bernard Kouchner, a former French foreign minister, in a radio interview. “Let’s be honest, we eavesdrop too. Everyone is listening to everyone else. But we don’t have the same means as the United States, which makes us jealous.” (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/germany/10407282/Barack-Obama-approved-tapping-Angela-Merkels-phone-3-years-ago.html)

That is not all.  The USA and UK law makers cannot claim to be morally clean, when they accuse Sri Lanka armed forces for violation of human rights and using rape as an arm, while they  hide behind them the  accusations levelled against  them not for small crimes but for the most degrading  crime of  child sex.

On 5 July, 2014 The Times  Home Correspondent  Richard Ford reported on “ Investigation launched  into Whitehall child sex dossier.  The Prime Minister David Cameron had asked the  Home Office to  carry out a review into what happened to the dossier detailing  an alleged paedophile  network at Westminster.

Apparently  the file  named  “Dickens Dossier” had volatilised. Mark Sedwill the Permanent Secretary at  the Home Office  had  commissioned a review to find out what happened to the file “ Dickens Dossier” which had been handed over to Lord Brittan  by Geoffrey Dickens.  The review was carried out and released without publicity by the Home Office.  The review had in conclusion said that the so called “Dickens Dossier” had not, however been retained  “in line with departmental policy” and that it had been destroyed,  though the material  from the dossier  was referred to  the Metropolitan  Police and the then director of public prosecution. That is how the mother of the Parliaments of the Commonwealth deals with matters  with regard to serious allegations against the Members of  Her Majesty’s Parliament.

In another report it is said,  that numerous high ranking  British Politicians are being investigated for their involvement in an extensive  paedophile ring.  And adds that  the full scope of the scandal in the UK can’t be fully appreciated without looking at the other side of the Atlantic.  The report adds, “it wasn't that long ago that those who claimed that there was a massive pedophile ring involving officials in the highest levels of government were written off as conspiracy theorists and kooks. That is no longer the case, at least in the U.K. It turns out that this so called conspiracy theory was not true, and is finally being officially investigated.”

At least forty British MPs are said to be implicated in this damning affair.  Investigations had  started after a scandal which centered around rape and child abuse accusations against  BBC presenter Sir Jimmy Savile who died in 2011. The victims of Savile had testified that the abuse involved  an organised paedophile ring which was operated out of the BBC.

In another turn of events the British Police claims that they have overwhelming evidence that Jimmy Savile’s friend former British MP Sir Cyril Smith had physically abused young boys in the 1960s.  The report states that as it is too late to  bring Jimmy Savile and Cyril  Smith, as they are both dead the question is whether the rest of the ring will be prosecuted.

The article poses the important question :  “You think this high powered pedophilia network only operated in the U.K.? I've got news for you, the United States government has been covering up their own pedophile network for decades. As in the U.K. case, the evidence surfaced years ago but nothing was ever done.”
The article presents three videos. The first video prepared for the Discovery Channel was so damaging  that it was not allowed to air it in the US.  The second  which showed “ The thousands of Pentagon employees implicated in a child pornography sting operation. That case was mysteriously dropped and never mentioned again.”
The last video is: “The NSA whistleblower Russel Tice exposed the fact that news organizations, the State Department, high ranking military officials and members of Congress and the Senate were being spied on extensively for years. (This may seem unrelated at first, but listen carefully to what Tice says, and consider the implications.)
Put it all together and a very ominous picture emerges.”
The reporter ends the article saying, “Each and every one of these predators are compromised in such a way, that whoever holds evidence that could expose them, would have total control over their actions. You would own them.
We generally think of blackmail as a means of extracting money, but to have the goods on a senator, an MP or a president is far more valuable. If you have the political elite, media, and the intelligence agencies under your thumb, anything is possible.
This is how you create puppets that are willing to start wars for you.”
Perhaps UN High Commissioner for Human Rights  Navi Pillai should have appointed an International  Investigation team “with names undisclosed” to probe into the scandal !

Is that which happened in Aluthgama-Beruwala a coming back of the Ghosts of the Past ?

It was still a British Colony called Ceylon. There were two Muslim Communities, one the Mohammadan Communities which Consisted of those who had settled down in Sri Lanka for Centuries and  learnt the necessity of living in peace with the  Sinhala respecting their religious observances,  and the other the “Hambayas”,  immigrants from the East Coast of South India.  They were not permanent settlers and did not intermarry from other Mohammadan Communities in Sri Lanka.  They were there strictly for trade.  The prosperous Hambayas rebuilt and enlarged the Mosques in Gampola and Kandy for the Mohammadan Communities.
The British Colonial rulers could not  eliminate or reduced to a minimum significance the native Sinhala people,  as they did with the indigenous population in  Canada, Australia and New Zealand,  and the American immigrants did in USA with the native Indians.
In 1912 in the British Colonial Ceylon the Buddhists were preparing to celebrate their Buddhist Esala Perahera in August, 1912,  conducting the procession through all the streets of Kandy.  The Hambayas informed the Police that they objected to the Esala Perahera of the Sinhala Buddhists passing past their newly built Mosque with the beating of drums, the blowing of  horns, and the cheering of the crowds.
The Government Agent Mr.Saxton ordered the police to mark off the area of the Mosque, and inform the Basnayake Nilame of the Buddhist Temple that in conducting  the Esala Perahera through the streets no drums or other musical instruments should be played when going past the Hambayas’mosque indicated by the sign posts.  Surprised by this unexpected turn of event, the trustees of the Temple stopped all preparations for the conduct of the perahera, and complained to the District Court that the order of the Government Agent is against the  Convention of 1815.
The DJ  of Kandy Paul E.Peiris ruled that the Order of the Government Agent was against the Convention and the Temple has the right to conduct the procession with elephants, playing drums and other musical instruments even in the streets where the Mosque had been built.  The Government Agent  through the Attorney General appealed against the judgement of the DJ. The Supreme court heard the case.
On the 15 January,1915, during the period before the Judgement of the Supreme Court was delivered, a Buddhist procession carrying a statue of a Buddha was going past a Muslim school improvised as a Mosque in Telliagamuwa village where the majority of the inhabitants were Mohammadans.  The Mohammadans attacked the Buddhists and damaged the Statue.  The Kurunegala police arrested 14 Mohammadans  and produced them before the Police Magistrate charged with rioting and being members of an unlawful assembly.  Further hearing was fixed for the 2 February, 1915.
However, on the 2 February,1915 the Supreme Court consisting of Judges Shaw and Sampayo delivered its judgment reversing the Order of the DJ Paul E.Peiris, in favour of the plaintiffs the Hambayas, and pronounced the  Convention is controlled and varied by the Police and Local Boards Ordinance.  The Buddhist were in despair and cried out, “…. Who has ever opposed us in our Kandyan Provinces except the newly arrived Hambayas ? ”
In the meantime the Sinhala Buddhists were preparing to Celebrate another great even the Wesak the  anniversary of the Birth, Enlightenment and the Parinibbana of the Great Buddha which fell on the 28 May, 1915.  The organisers of Wesak celebrations applied to the Government Agent for the usual licence for the Buddhist Carol Procession.  But the  Hambayas objected to the issue  of the licence.  The Government Agent having ascertained from Hambayas that the their Castle Hill  Street Mosque will be closed at midnight on the 28th May, issued the licence on condition that the procession will not enter the Castle Hill Street before 12 Midnight.
At about  1 a.m the first procession with musicians in a decorated Carol Cart turned from king Street to the Castle Hill Street.  But the Mosque was open and  lit up with crowds of Hambayas , Mohammadans and Afghans standing on either side of the Street.  Inspector Cooray observing the defiance of the Mohammadans  stopped the procession going forward in to the Castle Hill street and turned it into a cross street to avoid the Mosque altogether.  The Carol party obediently turned to the Cross street. The Mohammadans then started clapping hands, and jeering . At that moment the Second Cart with musicians came and proceeded into the Castle Hill Street, then the first cart that had turned to the Cross Street followed the second cart into the Castle Hill Street.
In the meantime in Gampola the Hambayas attacked a Buddhist procession .  In Kandy a Sinhala youth of 18 years was murdered by the Mohammadans  under the indifferent eyes of the Police.  The Sinhala Buddhists were afraid that the Mohammadans would attack the Temple of the Tooth.  The Sinhala people came from villages and gathered in Kandy to protect the Temple of the Tooth.
http://fr.scribd.com/doc/207759720/Riots-and-Martial-Law-in-Ceylon-1915
Alarmed by what they interpreted as a revolt against British rule, the authorities proclaimed Martial Law on June 2nd, and for three months the innocent Sinhala Buddhists were ground beneath an iron heel as ruthless as any which marched to the battlefields of distant Europe. Influential persons were arrested without a scrap of evidence against them, public servants were dismissed, and civilians tried by Courts Martial after the cessation of the riots, while the ordinary Courts of Justice were sitting uninterruptedly.”
Anagarika Dharmapala was a voice that aroused the patriotism of the Sinhala Buddhists. He  had the good fortune to be in India at the time of the Mohammadan –Sinhala riots, if not he would certainly have been arrested and shot, as his frequent visits to Japan and his efforts to regain the Buddha Gaya Temple had already made him an object of suspicion. Determined to wreak vengeance on the Hewavitarane family, the authorities arrested the Anagarika’s younger brother Edmund, tried him by Court Martial for treason, found him guilty and sentenced him to penal servitude for life. He contracted enteric fever owing to the unsanitary condition of the jail in which he was confined, and before the end of the year he was dead .”

On Thursday, 12 June,2014, it was the Poson Poya a sacred day for the Buddhists.  Venerable Ayagama Samitha Thera  of the Kurunduwatte Sri Wijayaramaya was being driven in a vehicle to Pathiragoda Temple to deliver a sermon through Durga town. It was a narrow road, there was a motor cycle and a three wheeler stopped on the middle of the road.  The driver of the vehicle taking Venerable Samith Thero tooted the horn of his vehicle to give notice of his vehicle and asked the driver of the three wheeler and the motor cyclist to make way for him to proceed. The Muslim youths the owner of the motor cycle and the driver of  the three wheeler  then started shouting back , and pulled the driver of the vehicle  taking the priest, out of the vehicle and hit him , the priest then got out hoping to help his driver, then the Muslim youth beat the  Venerable Samitha thera.”  The other Muslims in the area had come to their rescue.   That was the beginning of what happened that Poson Poya day in Durga Town.

Of course there could be various versions of it, and denials. Hambayas also had their supporters, and the Colonial police turned their heads away. Hambayas had recruited Afghans to defend themselves against the Sinhala Buddhists.   There are  already different version to inculpate Bodu Bala Sena for what happened on the 12 June,2014.  Hamabayas are not there now but may be others like them are infiltrating into Sri Lanka. Profiting from the situation the opposition to government invent their own versions. They say the people had been transported from out side.

There is nothing surprising in  what happened in 1915 as Sri Lanka was then under colonial rule, what is happening now is under a National Government of our own which seeks unity amoung different communities.

Then we had Venerable  Megettuwatte  Gunananda thero, who was ready to raise his voice against the enemies of Buddhism and the Sinhala Culture.  He was not denounced by the Americans as they do today to  Venerable Galagoda Atthe Gnanasara thero.

When Venerable Megettuwatte Gnananda Thero spoke out  against the British Missionaries he was heard by a great philanthropist and a man of wisdom in America Colonel  Henry Steel Olcott, who came to Sri Lanka with his friend Mme Blavatsky of Russian origin accepted  Buddhism.  What a difference from America of to-day ?

Colonel Steel Olcott and Mme Blavatsky became a great strength to the Sinhala patriots to  stop  the Christian Colonial trap of converting the natives to their religion to make them reliable servants of the of the British Crown.  Colonel Olcott opened 300 Buddhist Schools in different parts of Sri Lanka to bring back the prestige of the Buddhist heritage of Sri Lanka and impart education to the Sinhala Buddhists in Buddhist Schools.

Anagarika Dhammapala was influenced by this great American Olcott and  his friend Mme Blavatsky.  Anagarika Dhammapla saw the necessity to awaken the Sinhala Buddhists from their lethargy and meek acceptance of their lot under the British Missionary influence.  He used strong language to make people stop and take stock of the situation of Buddhism and the Sinhala people. Venerable Galagoda Atthe Gnanasara thero  uses stronger language perhaps appropriate as we have lot more dangerous people now in Sri Lanka,  than the Hambayas of those days.

We also had  the great patriotic poet who came from outside, Venerable Tibet Jathika S.Mahinda thera from Sikkim in India.  He wrote powerful lyrics to awaken the Buddhists. He is venerated as a great patriot of Sri Lanka.  He also spoke to  Sinhala Buddhists in strong words like Galagoda Atthe Gnanasara thero speaks to the sleeping Buddhists to awaken them and warn them of the dangers against Buddhism and Buddhist Culture.

Later on Catholic Church started their own conversions to destroy Buddhism and we had   L.H.Mettananda who fearlessly came forward to point out the dangers of Catholic action in Sri Lanka, and spoke out to make the people aware of the danger to Buddhism, and the Buddhist Culture.

Buddhism and the Sinhala Buddhists were constantly under attack either by the Muslims, or by the Christians, and there were  always great patriots who came forward to save the Country, the Sinhala Buddhists, and Buddhism.  When the Tamil terrorists were almost ready to divide Sri Lanka we had  great patriots from the South Mahinda and Gotabhaya Rajapaksas who under all odds eliminated that disastrous  monster.  But we are still  not free from danger.  The USA and its allies have  made it their objective to destroy the development  of Sri Lanka into a prosperous peaceful country. The Tamils and Muslims are knowingly or unknowingly in partnership with  USA and  its allies to weaken the present Government and its leadership and put in place a puppet government to carry out its political agenda, to push back China and Russia seeking unchallenged global leadership.

The enemies of Sri Lanka are now pointing their fingers of accusation against Champika Ranawaka and Gotabhaya Rajapakse who are following in the steps of our great patriots to awaken the Sinhala Buddhists and warn them of the return of the ghost of the past, now more dangerous with the USA and the West to back them.  Navi Pillai is one of their tools to implicate our patriotic leaders,  and soldiers who gave their lives to bring peace to this country and gave a new lease of Life to the Sinhala Buddhists.

Sinhala, Tamil and Muslims owe their freedom to move about and speak freely against the government to the President Mahinda Rajapakse, Gotabhaya Rajapakse and the Armed Forces.  We also owe much to Bodu Bala Sena, and Champika Ranawaka for speaking to the Sinhala Buddhists as they do to awaken them and make them aware of lurking  dangers.

They are doing that service to the Muslims as well as the ordinary Muslims are not aware of the dangers from political Muslims coming from outside.  Let us unite as a nation not accusing each other but by  getting  together to discus to find ways to keep away dangers clouding the Unity of the Sri Lankan Communities
