The great betrayal

Sri Lanka  in 2005 after 57 years of Independence  elected Mahinda Rajapakse as the President of Sri Lanka.  That was a great decision taken by the people of Sri Lanka to elect a great patriot, a national leader of affectionate qualities of whom one could be proud of to have as the President. He had a vision of what he wanted Sri Lanka to be.  He improved on the national socialist plan of the late S.W.R.D.Bandaranaike. Mahinda Rajapakse  did not want to build Sri Lanka on any foreign model.  He wanted Sri Lanka developed as it is, to be an example for other  developing countries.

When he was elected President, he inherited Sri Lanka in the grip of a group of ruthless Tamil terrorists.  He had to deal with  a very unfriendly Western Countries ferociously opposed to independent development of third world countries outside Western influence. The western media called him a hawkish  politician.  On the contrary Mahinda Rajapakse is  a humanist and a fighter for human rights, believed  in independent Sovereign rights of developing nations.

He knew that the West  does not take kindly to national leaders who want to develop their countries independent of Western domination. The glaring instances of this Western prejudice are Cuba, Iran, Chili, Guatamala Congo etc. Therefore he had to be cautious even in dealing with terrorism that was festering the countries progressive growth.

He had to settle terrorism first. He therefore tried to contact the terrorists for a peaceful settlement of their problems adhering to Western democratic norms. But as Tamil terrorists did not want any peaceful settlement but were determined to have their way to divide Sri Lanka by force, Mahind Rajapakse decided to deal with them the way they wanted it- using the Armed Forces for a military solution.

Though the odds were against a military intervention to eliminate terrorism, he decided to use the Armed forces for a military solution against the advice  of America and the West, who were acting in favour of the Tamils settled in large numbers in their countries-the Tamil diaspora the principal financial contributors to maintain a strong and a well armed terrorist force in Sri Lanka.

Mahinda Rajapkse a determined leader  knew that the correct way to bring about peace and develop the country at the same time was to plan  a strategy of development and act accordingly without changing it to suit what ever interfering foreign forces.  That was how Mahinda Rajapkse a great leader who brought peace to Sri Lanka  was able to developed the country modernising it in a short time, as no one ever thought it was possible. 

However, Mahinda Rajapakse  wanted a little more time to maintain the momentum of development to bring Sri Lanka in par with developed Nations of the world. In that he miscalculated  his chances of success, and decided to call for an early Presidential elections.  He believed that the satisfied people who were already enjoying a higher standard of living thanks to the changes he had been able to bring about  despite a higher cost of living  due to market exigencies, would re-elect him for another term. 

Unfortunately, the people decided otherwise. The Tamils and Muslims stood together against the Sinhala Buddhists to tip the scale against Mahinda Rajapakse. Mahind Rajapakse lost the Presidential election and with it the Sinhala Buddhists lost a rare leader that made them proud to be Sri Lankans.

Mahinda Rajapakse was undoubtedly a great leader of rare qualities who followed the path traced by his erstwhile elder S.W.R.D.Bandranaike. He was respectful of the  thoughts of Anagarika Dharmapala and gave an impetus to Buddhism turning his official residence every full –moon day to  a centre for the emanation of  the discourses of the Buddha by eminent Buddhist Monks. Some affectionately speak  of  him as a reincarnation of  King Dutugamunu.

But what have we got in place of the great leader the President  Mahinda Rajapakse ?

We have got Maithripala Sirisena a most ungrateful man of this century, a great betrayer of Sri Lanka ? Maithripala Sirisena  inspires nothing. He is a political pawn in the hand of a cunning and ambitious man Ranil Wickramasinghe the leader of the UNP- the party against which SWRD Bandaranaike organised the SLFP.

Maithripala Sirisena distorts SLFP with a politically inexperienced Duminda Dissanayake as its General Secretary,  insulting the memory of the late SWRD Bandaranaike the father of the SLFP.

Maithripala Sirisena is so weak that he had to consent to let Ranil Wickrmsinghe swear in un-Constitutionally as Prime Minister , when there was already a Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne of the former government, which had not been dissolved. Maithripala Sirisena on the instruction of Ranil Wickramasinghe and Chandrika Kumaratunga promised to have a national government of SLFP and UNP.

But the resulting national government led  by Ranil Wickrmasinghe is  a strong UNP Government with the Finance Minister from the UNP and a man obedient to Ranil Wickramasinghe the Speaker of the Parliament. He allowed a Tamil politician who was brought in  to form the TNA by the terrorist leader Prabhakaran as the Leader of the Opposition.

That appointment of Sampanthan as the leaer of  the Opposition  was also un- Constitutional, but the Speaker Karu Jayasuriya an obedient coterie of Rani Wickrmasinghe , followed his masters instructions, and refused to accept the leader proposed by the Joint Opposition. That is their respect for democracy.

Maithripala Sirisena will go down history as the traitor of the Sinhala Nation who helped the local enemies of Sri Lanka,-Ranil, Chandrika , and Muslims  to sell the nation to the Tamil separatists, India and the West.

Maithripala Sirisena  was in the SLFP long enough to have known  that Ranil Wickramasinghe and Chandrika Kumaratunga were the local agents of the West. The West was determined to oust Mahinda Rajapakse  and his  government so that they could  replace Mahinda Rajapakse with one of their local agents manoeuvrable  by them.  But all those mattered less important  to Sirisena  or  his mind is so small that he did not know what was going on.

Sirisena was attracted by  the proposal made by  Ranil Wickraamasinghe and Chandrika Kumaratunga to be the common Presidential candidate of the opposition to become the President of Sri Lanka.  He considered turning traitor to his country, and the political party of which he was the general secretary for 40 odd years  was worth it, if he could become he President of Sri Lanka..

But now Sirisena  speaks shamelessly ill of  his former political  leader Mahinda Rajapakse  relating  difficult times he had with him, and his fear that he would have been buried in an unknown cemetery if he had lost the Presidential election, to justify his quitting the party and an uncomparable political leader- Mahinda Rajapakse, who changed Sri Lanka to a modern country hoping to gradually turning it out to be a country not second to any other country  in the West. 

Perhaps Sirisena was not aware to what extent Ranil and Chandrika were cunning to make use of  him to come to political power themselves and make  him  their puppet once he was elected as the President. It is now quite evident that Sri Lanka is not run by Maithripala Sirisena as its President but by Ranil Wickramasinghe and Chandrika. Maithripala is  quite satisfied making speeches visiting  foreign countries to meet foreign leaders, shake their gloved and ungloved hands and be photographed with them.

In the meantime the Tamils are having a whale of a time making their political plans and readying themselves to set up their own  Tamil Eelam. This situation is similar  to that of  the terrorist Prabhakaran building his arsenal and the terrorist force after signing a CFA with Ranil Wickramsinghe and participating in  the so called peace talks in foreign countries agreed to by  the terrorists, supported by  the Norwegian Eric Solheim.

While all that is going on in the North,  Maithripala Sirisena who is politically naïve has only the desire to wipe the name of Rajapaksas from the name board of  Sri Lankan political  leaders. Along with Maithripala Sirisena are the other members of  SLFP basking in the dim light of Maithripala Siriena’s not so bright political star, enjoying the ministerial bonanzas and all the perks that go with it.

These self seeking SLFPers do not care what may happen to Sri Lanka to morrow which is in the hands of Ranil and his UNP coteries, and not at all in the hands of the traitor Maithripala Sirisena who ha been conveniently parked into a Presidential Palace with his SLFP sprites keeping  him happy doing things to please him.

Maithripala Sirisena asks for nothing better.  He is happy calling himself the leader of the SLFP, and tell his little sprites that he will not allow Ranil Wickramasinghe and the UNP rule the country,  but he  with his SLFP sprites will be doing that. But in the meantime knowingly or unknowingly Maithripala Siriseana is only helping UNP to rule the country without even consulting him.

Ranil and the UNP will be writing the new Constitution for Sri Lanka and sign the agreements with India for the ECTA and  to construct  the Hanuman Bridge.  Maithripla Sirisena cannot say no to Ranil Wickrmsinghe because it is he who made it possible for him to be the President of Sri Lanka.

In the meantime the bones of the late Mr.S.W.R.D.Bandaranaike must be rattling in his grave as Maithripala Sirisena has made SLFP a partner of the UNP- the policies of which SWRD opposed and formed the SLFP only  as a barrier against UNP taking Sri Lanka away from independence and development.

SWRD with his  SLFP brought to independent Sri Lanka a spirit of national socialism, brining back the cultural and national values lost under colonialism. He gave a proper place to Sinhala Language , Buddhism and even the national dress. It was Mahinda Rajapaksa and not his daughter Chandrika Kumaratunga that stepped into continue SWRD Bandaranaikre’s progressive policies.

Today  we have a government  distinctly opposed to the policies  for which SWRD Bandaranaike fought against the UNP and set up his own party the SLFP against UNP.

Maithripala Sirisena nominally the President of the SLFP has subordinated SLFP to UNP .  Maithripala Sirisena is in fact promoting UNP to which he is grateful for having made of him a President of Sri Lanka.

Sirisena is being used by Ranil Wickramsingh and Chandrika Kumaratunga  calling the government a  National Government, but carry out proWestern and pro Indian policies of UNP. The Government of  Maithripala Sirisena and Ranil Wickramasinghe has taken a complete U turn making Sri Lanka   a colony of the West, dependent on the West. 

What is national about the Maithripala-Ranil-Chandrika government is the National dress worn by Maithripala Sirisena,  amoung the UNP Ministers- the Black Sahibs, dressed  in  very English Coats and trousers.

UNP will do lot of damage to Sri Lanka  as they had done before, like the Indo-Lanka pact signed by J.R.Jayawardhan with Rajiv Gandhi  of India, CFA signed by Ranil Wickrmasinghe with Prabhakaran- the Tamil terrorist, and arming the terrorists by R.Premadasa.

Maithripala Sirisena will be instructed by Ranil and Chandrika to keep the SLFP Ministers under control,  to enable him to sign the ECTA and sign the agreement to construct the Hanuman Bridge  with India.  Sirisena will obediently send out stricture to the members of the SLFP to obey Ranil Wickrmasinghe and  fall in line as  it happened  on the No Confidence motion against the Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake.  Maithripala Sirisena will also obediently re appoint the Governor of Central Bank for a further period, and ask the SLFP Ministers  and some of the obedient UPFA Parliamentarians not to raise objections.

This most calamitous situation could be stopped only by the ouster of both the President Maithripala Sirisena and the so called Nationl Government along with Ranil Wickramasinghe and the UNP.  If that would not happen then good-bye my unitary Sri Lanka.

For the people of Sri Lanka to have voted against Mahinda Rajapkse at the Presidential election  on the 8th January,2015 was a great betrayal. The result of it would be that generations to come will suffer, and Sri Lanka will never be again what it was before the 8^th January ry,2015.

Mahinda Rajapakse is a name that should remain for ever respected, honoured and written in gold in the pages of History..

Like fine dust thrown against the wind, evil falls back upon that fool who offends an inoffensive, pure, and guiltless man.

If Sri Lanka government seeks the applause of  USA and the west Sri Lanka can be sure to remain undeveloped and dependent on USA and the west. That is what had been the foreign policy of the USA and the West. We saw how USA Ambassador Robert O’Blake, UK and French Foreign Secretaries,  Hillary Clinton reacted to progressive development plans, and Sri Lanka’s economic development under Mahinda Rajapakse.

Maithripala Sirisena and Ranil Wickramasinghe are already caught in the tangled political  net of  USA and  the West, Ravi Karunanayake  the Finance Minister will never be able to produce a people friendly budget to ease the economic burden of the people with a rising high cost of living.  Mangala Samaraweera as much as Ranil Wickramasinghe have been adopted the lapdogs of USA and the West.

USA presented its  resolution against Sri Lanka in Geneva before Sirisena-Ranil government was formed , to make governing difficult for the former President Mahinda Rajapakse.  Every Sri Lankan who suffered under terrorism for 30 odd years knows that the military operations against terrorism were a necessary evil, to bring peace and security to Sri Lank and its people. USA too new that terrorism cannot be handled with velvet gloved hands, and a war against terrorism has to be fought with utmost severity  even  at risk to civilian lives.

USA and its allies used the NATO forces against their terrorists outside their own countries thus without risk to their own people, and caring very little for the loss of civilian lives  in those countries they selected to devastate with bombs and canon fire. Later on they turned  their guns and bombed countries to remove lawful governments, killing thousands of civilians. USA tortured captured civilians both in Abu Grahib prisons  and Guanano Bay Camps.

But why are UN and great Human rights activists Silent?  Why is there no resolution presented at UN Human Rights Council in Geneva against USA and its allies for violation of Human Rights and war crimes ?

No one thought of passing a resolution in the UN Human Rights Council against the USA and its allies  calling for accountability and for war crimes. Therefore the countries which voted the USA ‘s resolution against Sri Lanka for the violation of human rights and war crimes in the elimination of terrorists in Sri Lanka are guilty of the murders and atrocities committed by the Tamil terrorists  against the people of Sri Lanka.

Therefore, Sri Lanka in the elimination of terrorists had not committed any war crime. Any civilian deaths in that necessary war against terrorism, was collateral. However, those unfortunate civilian deaths saved thousands of civilian deaths  if the terrorism was allowed to continue without military intervention. Hence,  no one-USA or the West has the right to come forward now to call for accountability or accuse the Armed Forces of Sri Lanka for war crimes.

We may as well ask the USA and its allies to pass any resolution against Sri Lanka and that Sri Lanka will not accept those resolutions valid as long as USA, which has violated human rights, committed war crimes,  and did not respect the sovereignty of  States like Pakistan to trespass into it by force to murder a residents of that country, is called to account and answer for the  crimes it has committed against nations.

If not Sri Lanka should leave the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, which has  accepted a resolution against Sri Lanka which rightfully eliminated terrorism, by USA which is a country guilty of human right violations and war crimes and therefore USA has no right what so ever to  accuse Sri Lanka for similar crimes, and pass any resolution against it.

It was stupid that Mangala Samaraweera’s over-enthusiasm on being the Foreign Minister of Sirisena-Ranil-Chndrika government that he embraced  the USA anti Sri Lanka resolution as if it was a  God’s  gift. Not stopping at that Ranil Wickramsinghe sponsored the resolution against his own country.

Can we call these men  Ranil Wickramasinghe , Mangala Samaraweera and Maithripala Sirisena-who did not speak out against sponsoring the USA Resolution against Sri Lanka patriot  of Sri Lanka ? 

USA and the West treating this Yahapalanaya Government of Sirisena and Ranil  submissive and acts with an unquestioning obedience has not even withdrawn the anti Sri Lanka resolution which they were using as a  means to change “Rajapakse Regime” of Sri Lanka.

The State Department of USA on the advice of its Assistant Secretary of South Asia Robert Blake who was a friend of Sri Lanka Terrorist Prabhakaran and Tamil Selvam, and  sympathiser of the Sri Lank terrorists, took punitive action against the President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapakse for going ahead with the  military operations to eliminate  terrorism against the advise of the State Department of USA. 

Why should the world accept USA as a global policeman, acting as if it has the right to decide on the internal policies of any Sovereign State in the world? 

USA has never t acted in the interest of any developing country.  USA takes action against countries in its own interest. This can be stopped only by the UNO with a proper leadership- with the Secretary General of UNO being a politically neutral person who cannot be manipulated by USA.  Ban ki Moon  cannot unfortunately be accepted as an independent Secretary General of the UNO . He acts in the interest  of USA and the West.

If  President Mahinda Rajapkse had listened to USA at the the time, and instead of military operations against terrorism had rounds after  rounds of peace negotiations with the terrorists, there would still  be  terrorism in Sri Lanka,  and our people would have continued to be murdered and massacred in thousands. 

If the American State Department would look at this  probability with intelligence they will undoubtedly realise  that the number of deaths of civilians in the actual elimination of terrorists( which it says 40 000, going by the Darusman Report) in May, 2009,would be comparatively insignificant.

The people of Sri Lanka are therefore grateful that the President Mahinda Rajapksa did not listen to the USA  State Department and instead carried on with the military operations until the complete elimination of terrorism.

Hence the former President Mahinda Rajapaks, his government and his  Armed Forces   are guiltless of the accusations made against them by USA in its infamous  resolution  passed  at the UNHRCouncil in Genevca.

America true to its regime change mania in the developing countries, saw a politically strategic danger in the excessive closeness of China with Sri Lanka of Mahinda Rajapakse. America knowing the strategic importance of Sri Lanka to control the south and checkmate any developments that would be a danger to its assumed leadership in the south seas, was planning to take  measures to  change  President Mahinda Rajapakse goverment in  Sri Lanka. 

They began by encouraging  their  Local Agents Ranil Wickramasinghe, and Chandrika Kumaratunga to create an uprising  of people against the Government in line with the Arab summer that ousted the Presidents of Egypt and Tunisia. 

Ranil and his UNP tried their best to make issues with the murder of the editor of Sunday leader Lasantha Wickramaratne,  and  using the funeral of a Tamil member of UNP assassinated by the LTTE, and again on army shooting at the manifestation in Rathupusellawa,  and with the shooting of the strikers manifesting in the industrial zone, but none of these attempts of the UNP leader were successful to raise the people  against the President Mahinda Rajapkse.

The President Mahinda Rajapakse is so popular amoung the people that they would not rise  against him and his government. The people were willing to suffer the burden of a rising cost of living rather than change the government of Mahinda Rajapakse for that.

Finally American State Department unable to find a means  to oust the government of Mahinda Rajapakse, arranged for Ranil Wickramasinghe the leader of the UNP a scholarship in the Massachuset University of Technology  to follow a course on “ How to Change Governments.” It was then that the USA State Department, and the  CIA may have worked out a  plan along with Ranil Wickramasinghe . 

The plan was to accuse  the President Mahinda Rajapakse , his family and all those connected to him as having misappropriated State funds for their  personal use. They saw that it will go down well with the people as Sri Lanka was receiving millions of dollars for various projects of development undertaken by President Mahinda Rajapakse’s Government, and one can be made to suspect that there may be some truth  that some of  the money  from the billions the government is receiving may have found their way into the  pockets of those in power.

It was no secret that the Ministers Ravi Karunanayake, and Karu Jayasuriya and others in the UNP Government of Ranil Wickramasinghe of 2002, and even the President Chandrika Kumaratunga are known to have made financial gains when Sri Lanka was  getting comparatively less money from the sale of Sathosa by Ravi Karunanayake, illegl transfer of state land for private Golf Course - Waters Edge by Chandrika , and signing a cotract with Agrekko Ltd for a financial deal without Treasury or cabinet approval by Karu Jayasuriya. 

Even G.G.Ponnambalam was accused of taking commissions on a agriculture Tracks deal.

The people may therefore  begin to doubt, they-USA regime change group , CID and Ranil had argued,  that there may be some truth about the hue and cry raised against Mahanda Rajapakse and the Ministers of his Government to have misappropriated  from the vast sums of money pouring into the country.

That was how the accusations of  bribery and corruption and stealing of  state funds for personal use , having foreign Bank Accounts and money laundering etc.,against the Rajapaksa family       and Directors, of various Companies that thrived under President Rajapakse, came about. 

There may have been some who made money during the Presidency of Mahinda Rajapakse, but certainly not the President Mahinda Rajapakse and his family. Mahinda Rajapakse could not have carried out the Mahinda Chintanaya if he was syphoning off funds for his personal use.

Mahinda Rajapakse would surely not have resorted to misappropriating state funds as he knew that he would be at the centre of an inquiry by any future  government of an opposition party coming into power.  Further more Mahinda Rajapakse would not have stooped to any corrupt activity as he would have liked to have a clean name as an incorrupt and an honest leader, as he was trusted, loved and dear to his people.

However that scandal raised by UNP and the JVP worked to a certain extent to change the attitude of the people against President Mahinda Rajapakse, but a greater number of intelligent people knew that if state funds were misappropriated in large sums the Sri Lanka would not have seen such extensive  development to the country,  which was fighting a costly war against the terrorists, and at the same time developing the country as it had never been developed before.

During the Presidency of Mahinda Rajapakse the whole of Sri Lanka was a “ huge construction sight”. There was work being carried out everywhere, in the south, north, west and east of Sri Lanka. Highways were being built , bridges were being opened, hospitals, school, power houses, harbours, and airports were being built. There was work and development in progress according to the billions of funds pouring in from China, Japan,IMF, etc.

This false accusation of corruption against Mahinda Rajapakse and his family had gone to such an extent that even  some media thought to be respectable try to maintain their respectability by not  completely denying such false rumours of corruption,  but keeping the doubt open sort  of  “in case ?”…….

The Island of 8 June,2016 in its Editorial “Vili Lajja” says:

“The Rajapaksa government was castigated—and rightly so—for wasting public funds to maintain the ostentatious lifestyles of its politicians and their backers. Those at the levers of power changed last year but one sees no difference between the previous regime and its successor anent spending sprees; they are tweedledum and tweedledee in that respect. The government has demonstrated once again that it does not hesitate to act out of expediency rather than principle to safeguard its political interests.”

How can the Island compare this government of Sirisena-Ranil which has done absolutely nothing since 8^th January, 2015, but dragged the country backward, compare it to Rajapakse Government, which  contributed positively to Sri Lanka from 2005 to 8 January,2015.

The Island  adds, “  for wasting public funds to maintain the ostentatious lifestyles of its politicians and their backers”

Their lifestyles may have changed but they also helped the country to develop allowing the  people to have a better standard of living. Ostensible life style was also the result of a higher standard of living.

The media cannot deny, that the people lived well under the Presidency of Mahinda Rajapakse. It was a time when the government needed more money to spend both for the war against Tamil terrorists and develop the country. Yet the people were not neglected.  The Private sector too developed allowing their employees to have a better wage. The  government employees were also well paid and the university graduates were provided employment.

It is therefore wrong to try to please the gallery by saying that some of he money may have been siphoned off by the Rajapakse family to live an ostensible life style. It is a lie and scandalising the name that should remain respected, honoured and written in gold , for had it not been for Mahinda Rajapakse, we do not know for how long the people of Sri Lanka would have suffered  under control and fear of terrorism. 

There is no “Yes and But”, because  that is a fact. Those who deserve respected should  be respected, is inculcated into us as Buddhists. 

We cannot expect such refinement from Tamils and Muslims, one worshiping mythical Gods, and the other a God non- existent, who are late comers to Sri Lanka trying to take over the whole place, like the proverbial camel allowed to shove its head into the tent.

Sri Lanka Tamils do not want Reconciliation.

There were so many players that barred Sri Lanka’s rapid growth into a rich peaceful Nation. The Tamil Community of Sri Lanka except for occasional patriots who came out of that community, was the major obstruction  on the way  to  unity and development of Sri Lanka.   They remained a Community apart waiting to destabilise the majority hoping to establish itself as  a community equal to the Sinhala Majority Community or failing that to  have a separate State within the territory of Sri Lanka exclusively for the Tamil Community.  These were the ideas drummed into the minds of the ordinary Tamils by the ambitious Tamil racist political pariahs, who use politics to separate people and divide the country.

The Sinhala politicians failed to understand this, and played into their hands by trying to satisfy them each time they come with a proposal with the  ulterior motive of creating  dissension  and conflict.  The Tamils of Sri Lanka came from neighbouring India as plunderers, marauders, thieves , conquerors, vandals, and  destructors and they remain with that same mentality.  The Sri Lanka Tamils have contributed nothing for the country or the well being of its people as a whole. 

Even if they were  help themselves-the Tamils,  they have their caste categories and they will  never treat all the Tamil people equally. They cannot be otherwise  because they are born with that “caste attitude”. It is part of their religion therefore a part of their culture.

The Sri Lanka Tamils still have that primitive mind set of the early invadors, marauders, plunderers, and vandals. In Sri Lanka they have every thing that everyone else in Sri Lanka have and enjoy; all are happy with what they have, but not the Sri Lanka Tamils.  They want more, therefore they go on their knees  to all  foreign leaders they think can help them begging for their help, to set up a separate homeland for Tamils in Sri Lanka. 

They go to Americans, the English the South Africans, Norwegians.  They do not go asking for their help to develop Sri Lanka and make the lives of the Tamil people happy, living with their  compatriots-the Sinhala and the Muslims. But they go asking them to  help them separate themselves from their  compatriots the Sinhala and Tamil and help them have their own Eelam.  

Now, they do not beg  as they  have collected enough money  to finance the  failed terrorism through which they hoped to have a separate Eelam State. Now they are  left with enough blood money to distribute to  buy the foreigners to help them divide Sri Lanka at their bidding.

The Tamil Society in Sri Lanka is built on Hindu caste system. Therefore within the Tamil society itself there is a continuing  ignoble conflict between man against man. The Tamil politicians are not interested in the upliftment of the living conditions of the Tamil people. Even the money voted for the NPC for community development projects  had not been utilised. 

But all that the Tamil politicians want is an Eelam State, so that they can exploit the caste system to the maximum, to give the high Caste Vellalas a higher status to rule over the lower castes.  They will sabotage the attempt of any Sri Lanka government for a reconciliation as it is not reconciliation they want but a territorial separation .  Their demand for Federalism , or police and land power within a Provincial Council is in other words a demand for a spring board for separation.

USA and the West with the active support of Norwegian Eric Solheim are moving towards making a reality of the demand of  the Sri Lanka Tamils for a Separate  Eelam State within Sri Lanka.  Their sordid move come in the  guise of  a resolution in  Geneva UN Human Rights Council calling Sri Lanka for accountability for  violation of human rights and war crimes by the Sri Lanka Armed Forces in the elimination of terrorism.

U.S.A and the West knew that the stumbling block for  the establishment of such a separate Eelam State  was the President Mahinda Rajapakse and his government.  Therefore, USA and the West with the aid of Chandrika and Ranil Wickramasinghe fished out the weakling amoung the leaders of the SLFP- Maithripala Sirisena for a Regime Change to replace Mahinda Rajapakse

The USA and the West if they are really honest democrats should have hailed Sri Lanka for the elimination of terrorism and bringing peace to Sri Lanka, it is the first Sovereign State in the world to have been able to eliminate terrorism without  any ones help.  But blood money of the Tamil Diaspora being a greater temptation than respect for democracy, USA and the West have gone  all out to help the separatist demands of the Sri Lanka Tamils.

Amoung the Tamils we have exceptions like Laksman Kadirgamar, Jeyaraj Fernandu Pulle and Karuna Amman. 

But Sampanthan and all his TNA cohorts, besides  Swaminandan, Vijayakala Maheswaran or Mano Ganeshan  are there to get as much as they can out of Sri Lanka and give nothing in return to it.  They are the remnants of the Dravidians chased by the Aryans when they ventured into the Indian continent. Education has done nothing to change the  Dravidian mentality of the Sri Lanka Tamils.  If education could change their mentality,  we would not have had a man like  Wigneswaran- the most ungrateful racist amoung the Tamils in Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lanka Tamils are demanding  a separate Eelam state and not reconciliation. These Sri Lanka Tamil politicians or those of the Tamil diaspora  are not  interested  in  the development of the Tamil Community as a whole  removing  from it the archaic caste system.

They are  instead busy making research and re-writing the history of Sri Lanka to prove that the Tamils inhabited Sri Lanka before the Sinhala and the ancient historical documents such as the Mahavansa only falsify history. The Sri Lanka Tamils are bent on separation, and cared less for the development of a unitary Sri Lanka or reconciliation amoung Communities. 

This is the harsh reality not even the Sinhala Politicians are ready to accept.  If the Sri Lanka Tamils are for reconciliation and live together with other Communities  as true Sri Lankans there was enough incentives provided by different governments that came into power since Independence, but the  inherent  Tamil separatist genetic trait forbids acceptance,  but  rejection.

The Tamils lack moral sense of gratitude. They refused to  accept the Sinhala as the majority Community. The Sri Lanka Tamils  do not even want to be equal to the  Sinhala Community, but want to be separated to be with outsiders  preferably the whites European or even South Africans, or even Tamil speaking Muslims.

The very word majority in reference to the Sinhala Community is anathema for the Tamils.  Under such circumstance to  talk about reconciliation with Tamils is a dead-end.  They will never agree- the Tamil politicians will force the ordinary Tamils to reject any form of reconciliation.  The Tamil politicians say they tolerate the Muslims.  That is  because they speak Tamil and would be another minority against the  common majority in a political confrontation.

Sri Lanka Tamils do not want any reconciliation, they want a separate Tamil Eelam.  Only way to treat them is to treat them as invaders who are trying to take away the rights, priviledges, history, culture, and land away from the Sinhala to whom it belongs.

Therefore, the present Government  of  Maithripala Sirisena and Ranil Wickramasinghe   should take serious note that the Sri Lanka Tamil politicians  they a touching with velvet hands, flogging Rajapaksas, dragging them in the mud to please the Tamils hoping  for a change of Tamil minds  for an acceptable reconciliation, treating the Sri Lanka Armed forces like untouchables making them weak and feeble and remove the Army Camps from North and East  to please these Sri Lanka Tamils and  the Tamils of the diaspora , will all be a vain effort.

Give the Tamils all they ask for, but they will still want some more.

It is sad one has to come to that conclusion, but it is the stark reality.
