Why do Tamils hate Sinhala ?

 Part II

The Sinhala even before the Independence had a very cordial relationship with the Tamils. Even in the small towns in the South, the barbers, the small boutique keepers selling cigars, and Saaivar Restaurants were run by Tamils, mostly Jaffna Tamils.

These Jaffna Tamil traders were so well accepted by the Sinhala they were even  invited for their weddings and funerals. Most of these Jaffna Tamil traders came alone to the South without their families, except some of them who came with their  male children who were sent to local Schools and studied with the Sinhala  children.

I the writer, had been travelling alone in whole of Jaffna, but never did I have an unpleasant  word directed at me by any one from three wheel drivers to those I met in the town or outside. I was always given a seat in crowded buses, by someone leaving one to me with a smile. I was received in their homes. I ate their meals together with them.

The Tamils were never rejected by the Sinhala  because they were Tamils. How then can we explain this phenomena of hatred, the anti Sinhala bias?

It appears to be a politically motivated  later development by the upper class Tamils. Even today we see it amoung the politicians, but not amoung the ordinary Tamil people.

Unfortunately the voice of the ordinary Tamil people is not heard. We hear only the Tamil politicians, and those of the Tamil diaspora who are the ones who show their hatred most towards the Sinhala, and sow the seeds of hatred amoung the ordinary Tamils.

The ordinary Tamil people  old men, women and children who were herded like cattle from place to place by the terrorists to keep them as a human shield, who suffered without clothes to wear, food to eat, water to wash or drink  rescued by the Sinhala soldiers cannot surely hate those Sinhala soldiers who took them away from which was  hell on earth for them !!

The worst hatred seem to spring from Wigneswaran who was born in the south , grew up amoung the Sinhala, went to school with Sinhala children  and became a Judge, and got his sons married to Sinhala women.

The other whose hatred towards Sinhala  is not understood come from the UNP State Minister for Child Affairs Vijayakala Maheswaran, whose husband was assassinated by the terrorists.

She pines for the terrorist Prabhakaran. She states that the Tamil Community wouldn’t have lost their leader Velupillai Prabhakaran if they had voted for the UNP candidate Ranil Wickramasinghe at 2005 Presidential election.

Has she a secretly kept love for the terrorist leader Prabhakaran, perhaps like UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillai, who it was said that  when she was a young student had a photo of Prabhakaran pasted on the wall  in her room

Could it be some thing endemic, meaning  “ a disease that is constantly present to a greater or lesser degree in people of a certain class or in people living in a particular location”  ?

Is it jealousy towards the Sinhala by the Tamil politicians who try hard but cannot stand  up to the Sinhala politicians ?  If it is that  it may be an extreme inferiority complex ?

Inferiority complex has several definitions, that which may be close to that from which the Tamils suffer may be , “ a persistent sense of inadequacy or the tendency to diminish oneself, sometimes resulting in excessively aggressive behaviour through over compensation.”

That would explain why Venupillai  Prabhakaran became a terrorist. Prabhakaran was not educated and came from a caste considered low by the upper class Tamils-the fisher caste. He kidnapped a high caste girl Mathivathani Erambu and married her.

Prabhakaran as a young man who had formed a group of  young activists around him, assassinated the Governor of Jaffna. He was taken notice of by India which wanted to make him their cat’s paw to make inroads in to Sri Lanka to divide it territorially;  which obsession of India continue to date. Prabhakaran and his young companions were taken away by the Indian RAW to India  and set up a camp for them in the jungle of South India to train this  group of youngsters to be terrorists.

Prabhakaran was therefore the outward  projection of the inferiority complex of the Tamil political mentality which includes the local Tamil politicians and the Tamils living in foreign countries.

Why do Tamils hate-Sinhala ?

Part I

It is a question that has not been probed. Why do Tamils hate Sinhala?

There is something deeply imbedded in the minds of the Tamils- a gene, which makes them unreasonably hateful towards the Sinhala. The psychologists try to understand the problems of individual human beings,  without applying their studies  to  communities, a population or  or even nations.

Even in the study of individuals there are disagreements amoung psychologists following different schools of thought on psychology. The Western psychologists do not believe in Kamma and afterlife. Hence they study the human mind from the beginning of the life of an individual dividing it  into a conscious and subconscious mind.

It was Carl Gustav Jung  the first Western psychologist ,psychoanalyst,  who went beyond the Western belief system to understand an individual according to Eastern philosophies where the mind or the consciousness is not limited to an individual’s “present life”, but is connected to its existence beyond this life, and shaped according to mental activities in previous lives-Kamma, and Buddhist Dependent Origination.

Therefore, if a study is to be made on why Tamils are anti-Sinhala it has to go beyond this life to the previous lives to understand  how their genes have been influenced to accumulate hatred towards Sinhala. This is perhaps not a psychological way of putting it, but  it is an attempt to understand the phenomena by an ordinary person, who would put this Tamil behaviour  to an inferiority complex.

An ordinary unprejudiced view is that the Tamils in Sri Lanka are not treated differently by the Sinhala. The Sinhala Governments had committed no genocide against the Tamil Community, with which certain mentally deranged  Tamil individuals try to fuel the minds of Tamils as a reason to hate the Sinhala.

But they fail to see that  the Sinhala on the other hand  have accommodated them amoung the Sinhala, introducing some of their religious practices into their Buddhist  temples ,  even  accepting inter-marriages.

The Tamils we have in Sri Lanka are of the Dravidian stock,  who were driven to the southern tip of India by the Invading Aryans who settled in the North. Therefore the Dravidian culture is different from the Aryan culture, perhaps more wild and savage with an undeveloped primitive belief system as seen from decorative grotesque figures on Kovil Gorpurams

The study if made by psychologists on this question,  it has to be a study not restricted to individuals,  but to the whole of the Tamil population. Such a study is certainly not to degrade the Tamils vis-à-vis the Sinhala, but to understand why Tamils are different and why they do not want to have any thing to do with the Sinhala to the extent they want an area for themselves, separated from the Sinhala.

This Tamil dislike for Sinhala is such that we see this even with people from unexpected quarters  showing their dislike for the Sinhala.

For instance,  Venerable Buddhaghosa maha Thera, a Tamil master of Veda, who later became a Buddhist Monk  was allowed to translate into Pali a vast collection of  Sinhala Commentaries to the Buddha’s teachings,  some of them written by Noble  Arahats of the Mahavihara. Venerable Buddhaghosa after completing his work of writing the Visuddhimagga, secretly burnt all the Commentaries which were written in Sinhala.

We now see what a great loss it is to the Sinhala Buddhists. Venerable Buddhaghosa would not have done that if he was an Arahat. But how could he have justified burning those Commentaries,?

Could it be  that Venerable Buddhaghosa too had the same gene in common with  all Tamils that made him as destructive as Kalinga Magha the Tamil Tyrant who destroyed  the Sinhala  Buddhist Monasteries ?

Because those Sinhala Commentaries were a great Buddhist treasure, more valuable than even the Monasteries  destroyed by the Kalinga Magha, or the ancient Sinhala Buddhist  ruins being bulldozed by the Sri Lanka Muslims today.

The Aryans were fair skinned and the Dravidians dark skinned. The caste system was introduced by the Aryans , and the Aryans employed some of the Dravidians who were retained with them as their slaves doing manual and menial work.

In Sri Lanka the fair skinned Sinhala are supposed to be of the Aryan Stock. And perhaps the Tamils believe that the Sinhala Aryanas had pushed the dark skinned Tamils to the north-,but this cannot be so as the Tamils in Jaffna are fir skinned. Perhaps the fairskinned Tamils in Jaffna come from the same Sinhala Aryan roots !!!

May be the Caste system affected the Tamils psychologically and made them anti Sinhala-the Aryan Stock that introduced the Caste System.

Election Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya is a Robot.

A Robot is a machine with many parts, which is programmed  to carry out  complex tasks.  A mechanical Robot is  programmed. It works only according to its programme. If it were to be asked to rectify any error the Robot cannot do  it,  as it is not programmed to rectify  errors.

Commissioner of elections Mahinda Deshapriya is a programmed mechanical Robot. The  whole Department of the Election Commission is a part of this  vast programmed robot.

The  programme is there and nothing can stop the Robot from follows its course according to its programme. It is like a steamroller if your foot gets caught in front of it you will get crushed under it.  The Mahinda Deshapriya Robot is the same.  

There are no human beings in the Mahinda Deshapriya Robot who can detect human errors and correct them. Because it is not programmed for  such corrective measures.

The Local Government election was anticipated with great hope. The  Provincial Councils  which had no elected representatives  for two years since the election of UNP-SLFP Government may finally  have the elections in February, 2018.

Sirisena-Ranil Yahapalanaya had shelved known democratic processes replacing them  with  their own system of democracy to invent reasons for delaying elections. It even introduced bills in Parliament to circumvent judicial decisions that interdicted the governments  from delaying Local Government elections.

Yet this long awaited  local government elections after all this  long strenuous  demands, the elections for the Provincial Councils  have been made  difficult by the mockery of a Election Commission turned  into being a programmed Robot. A Robot which cannot accept human errors and rectify them.

The Robot had been very severe with the SLPodujana Peramuna which had the largest number of nomination lists of candidates rejected. The absurdity of this robots rejection programme can be seen  by taking one rejected Nomination list of the SLPP.

It was rejected for not having the required per centage of women candidates.

How did this happen ?

On the Nomination list the sex of the candidate is apparently shown with  F  before the name, for a female, or M for a male. But in this column of Fs and Ms. one name of a woman candidate had been marked  in the column with an M instead of F. The Robot is programmed to read only the Column of Fs and Ms and therefore found the percentage of women in the Nomination list short of the required per centage. The Robot not programmed to  read names was unable to detect the human error, therefore it rejected the Nomination list.

Is that not an absurdity of the Mahinda Deshapriya Robot which is programmed to read only columns and not names ?

There is a Biblical saying  which was later taken by legal luminaries in interpreting the law, which was to adopt the spirit of the  law and not the letter of it.

However, another factor which the  Robot is not programmed to understand  is that one makes more mistakes when one has more work to do, than when one has less work to do.

It is said that SLPP which had more nomination lists rejected had received 67 000 requests  seeking nomination for the  Provincial Council Elections.  If one has a human mind one can understand why there were more errors in the nomination lists of SLPP .  SLPP cannot accommodate all those who had asked for nominations and they had to do make extremely difficult choices.

There had certainly been much pressure, and errors inevitable. If the parties presenting the Nomination Papers had met  human beings and not Robots to present the Nomination lists  they could have examined the lists together to see if there were errors, and how serious they were and correct some,  and  reject others  which were to serious errors to be accepted under any circumstances,  the situation would certainly have been different.

But this is the fault of having Robots to work with !!!

Those Political parties which had less number of rejects certainly had less number of requests for nominations to deal with and had been able to keep within the Robot’s programme. 

The conclusion is that the  election Department should be manned by human beings and not Robots.

We see the absurdity of turning the Elections Department into a Robot, which made meaningless  the Provincial Council elections which the people and their representatives , won after a fight against a monstrous undemocratic, unpatriotic Yahapalanaya, which had denied  the people the right to have their representatives elected to the Provincial Council for two years.

The long expected Provincial Council elections became a sad experience by the Election Department Robot rejecting the nomination list of the Political parties for minor  human errors. Mahinda Deshapriya Robot had failed to understand that those candidates on the rejected Nomination lists have to wait, one does not know for how long  before there would be an election again for Provincial Councils.

We expect at least the Judges be human,  more than being just legal representatives,  making legal terms meaningful  and people friendly, than the chaotic  Robotic interpretation of the Election law by the Elections Department.

Mahinda Deshapriya takes himself too seriously, and becomes a law unto himself.  In January 2015 presidential elections Mahinda Deshapriya the Commissioner of Elections had ordered the police to “ shoot in the head” to kill any one trying to disrupt elections.

But he has forgotten that a Commissioner  of Elections is there to see that the Elections are held properly to let the people exercise their vote. The Commissioner of Election  is there to  allow people to seek nominations and help the Political Parties to prepare the nomination lists correctly and facilitate their acceptance without  being unbending in the application of the Election Laws.

After all the elections are of the people, by the people, and  for the people.

Make Provincial Council Elections a Referendum Against Sirisena –Ranil Government.

It appears that this so called Yahapalanaya  government cannot be removed until 2020, but we can perhaps force it to change by showing its unpopularity amoung the people, by electing Provincial Council candidates from the Podujana Peramuna. 

Podujana Peramuna represents the original SLFP of SWRD Bandaranayake. Podujana Peramuna also has the parliamentarians from the previous Mahinda Rajapakse Government which had contributed to the development of Sri Lanka into a modern country despite the continued braying by the Yahapalanaya of corruption.

We will go on to  see why President Sirisena’ SLFP and Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe’s  UNP are neither people friendly, nor are they capable of  developing the country. But people see how under their leadership the country is backsliding from where it was before January,2015, towards being a failed state with no future. The only prospect of for the country under them is its being territorial broken up,  and communally separated.

The JVP which also  helped to bring into power the SLFP-UNP joint yahpalanaya has now become its bitter critic to bluff the people into believing that they are the best alternative to rule the Provincial Councils,  or the Country after the failure of  the SLFP and the UNP as rulers. 

The JVP  politicians who make the biggest rumpus, to deliver nothing have not won the trust of the ordinary people. JVP had  been working incessantly for the continuation of the disastrous policies of UNP,  therefore the people should  not vote for them at the Provincial Council election.

Now let us see what we the Sri Lankans have to do today with the Local Government elections in the Agenda ?

Lets us see why  we should vote against the Provincial Council Candidates put forward by the Political Parties which compose   Sirisena Ranil Yahapalanaya Government.    

Sirisena-Ranil Yahapalanaya Government has denied for more than two and a half years the democratic right of the people  to have their own elected representatives to help them in their every day needs at provincial and village levels.  These political parties which  make up the  so called  Yahapalanaya-SLFP, UNP, JVP,SLMC,JHU,TNA etc.  have no  right to present their representatives at  provincial and village levels as they too  would only bring about the same disaster they have brought  to the country at Parliamentary level ?

Do our people at provincial and village levels  really know what Maithripala  Sirisena-Ranil Wickramasinghe have done to Sri Lanka since 8^th January,2015, or are they still listening only  to the  horrors these Yahapalanaya Champions say that had been done to Sri Lanka by the President Mahinda Rajapakse ?  

But the peoples of every community, despite the ranting of their political leaders know that they  would not have seen the change Sri Lanka went through from 2005 to 2014 under Mahinda Rajapakse. And they also know what negative effect the development of Sri Lanka faced after the election of  Sirisena-Ranil Yahapalanaya. The Yahapalanaya  rule during the period 2015 to 2017 had been an utter failure, without a singly development project they can say they have undertaken and completed.

President Sirisena keeps ordering the Armed Forces to vacate the land they occupy in the North and East and hands them over to the Tamils to facilitate reconciliation, while Wigneswaran refuses to allow Sinhala refugees to go back to their lands in the North, and Sumanthiran damands the  removal of  Buddhism  from State protection and  write a new Constitution making Sri Lanka a secular country .

Under these circumstances where  is reconciliation ?

It is evident that Wigneswaran, Sivajilingam, Sumanthiran and the rest do not want  reconciliation. Therefore why should we allow Sirisena and Ranil to sell  in the pretex of reconciliation, the Sinhala  Buddhist Culture , their  religion and all that rightly belong to them to please the Tamils.

That is why it is imperative that the people show through their vote  at the Provincial Council Elections, that they do not want  the Yahapalanaya Government of Sirisena and Ranil decide the future of Sri Lanka and its people.

President Sirisena takes every opportunity to accuse the former President Mahinda Rajapakse   for some fraud or another . Sirisena now makes a big issue of  the sale of 10 acres of land to Sangrilla Hotel shifting the Sri Lanka Army Head Quarters from Colombo Fort making Colombo unsafe, while he had allowed the sale of the Hambanthota harbour and thousands of acres of prime land to China.

The danger to Colombo may come again from the terrorists in the North or the sleeping terrorists encouraged by Wigneswaran the “new Prabhakaran of the North .”– The means to challenge such a threat would be  by keeping a larger numbers of military camps in the North and East. But instead of that President Maithripala Sirisena  continues to disband military camps in the North and distribute the land amoung the people.

But Sirsena does not seem to know  that when the Army Head Quarters was removed from Colombo Fort, Mahinda Rajapakse  had already started  to construct  at Pelawatte using the money received from the sale of the land to Sangrilla, a Sri Lanka Defence Head Quarters worthy of Sri Lanka’s  terrorist war winning heroic Armed Forces.

Unfortunately  the construction of  new Head Quarters  for the  Armed Forces  was stopped on Rajitha Seanaratne’s accusation of a financial Fraud. They have still failed to find evidence of such fraud but the construction work of the Head Quarters at Pelwatta have come to stop.

Maihripala Sirisena- Ranil Wickramasinghe  SLFP UNP joint Government do not speak for Buddhists or Buddhism as it affects negatively their reconciliation process with the Tamils. This absurd reconciliation  is the demand of the friends of Yahapalanaya- USA , the West and Zeid Ra’ad Al-Hussein the HC UNHRC.

Recently the USAmbassador had even said that Sri Lanka should have a Federal Constitution !!!

UNP from D.S.Senanayake down to Ranil Wickramasinghe are not supporters of Buddhism. On this it is worth reading what Janaka Perera had written in an article to Lankaweb on the 20^th December,2017.

“Mettananda noticed that the Prime Minister D.S. Senanayake’s Government was neither prepared to give Government patronage to Buddhism as in the pre-colonial days nor was it keen to give to the Buddhists the same rights the Christians enjoyed in all spheres of society. Had the UNP rulers been far-sighted enough to enforce at least the latter policy, this country would have been spared of the many upheavals that followed. It is very unfortunate that UNP election manifestos failed to focus on the restoration of the rights of the majority which were trampled en masse by the British Raj.……….Among the many contenders to shoulder the mantle of Anagarika Dharmapala’s legacy and to continue his work to restore Buddhism to its due place in Lankan society particularly in the difficult transitional phase of the country’s history is L.H. Mettananda.He gave voice to the calls of the Buddhists to re-establish a Buddhist Social Order as existed in the pre-colonial period, though has not materialized to date due to the machinations of anti-Buddhist forces and other dubious elements.”

From the beginning the Yahapalanaya Government of Maithripala Sirisena and Ranil Wickramasinghe had shown that  they are only capable of  pointing their fingers of accusation at others. They have at no point of time pointed their accusatory fingers at themselves, to do an introspection of themselves to see what wrongs they have done, and where they have gone wrong.

Their obsession of the President Mahinda Rajapakse , and their determination to take revenge from him has resulted in Sri Lanka, which was developing into being  a modern stated since 2005, become  poorer, its economy on the slump, lose its sovereignty being constantly interfered into by the USA, the West and the UN, with all development projects neglected , its wealth sold to China and India.

The Air Lanka- the National Air Line has been  neglected and is on the verge of bankruptcy. The Yahapalanaya  has allowed our Central Bank to be stolen, allowed Sri Lanka loose its unique identity as a Buddhist Sinhala country, allowed  Sri Lanka  loose its ancient cultural values, denied the government servants their pension rights, divided the people, and taken away peace and protection that was restored in 2009 by Mahinda Rajapakse.

Under this Sirisena -Ranil Government even our tea has lost its commercial importance , and our tea is for the first time  refused to be purchased by foreign countries.

It is these facts that should be highlighted to make the people vote against the UNP and SLFP Candidates, and the candidates of the JVP at the coming Provincial Council Elections, encouraging them  to vote en mass for the candidates of the Podujana Peramuna

A Reply to Kautilya

Kautilya, before you hasten to reply to my article , you should have understand what I said. I said that SWRD Bandaranaike’s SLFP died on the 16 January,2015, when the then President of the SLFP - the President Mahinda Rajapakse thrust the Presidency of the SLFP on the President elect Maithripala Sirisena.  In other words when the President Sirisena became the President of SLFP,   it was no more the SLFP of SWRD Bandaranayake.

Why ?

Because  when SWRD  left UNP, it was never to come back to the UNP fold again. SWRD disagreed with the political ideology of the UNP as being a party which is a stranger to Sri Lanka’s religious, cultural and social values. Which is  amply evident today from the actions being taken by the UNP Prime Minister  with a UNP dominated Cabinet with an aggressive pro Western capitalist Agenda.

I really cannot understand what nonsense you keep writing contradicting what you write in one paragraph with what you write in the next. You write there was   no reason for SWRD to leave the UNP in 1952,  and you follow up with,

“SWRD realized that the UNP was  not breaking the sickles after gaining independence. Sri Lanka failed to follow the pattern of India. It continued with the same colonial politics  The only change being that the country was not ruled from Britain.”

You just write without trying to reply to what I wrote in my article, therefore it’s best ignore what you have written  and expand what I meant when I said SWRD’s SLFP died when its leadership was handed over to Maithripala Sirisena.

For many politicians in Sri Lanka being a politician is like being a boutique keeper. Just run the business. For them there is no philosophy in it. But SWRD coming from a rich and a distinct family, who had studies at Oxford where he had a brilliant education, he inherited a clean comfortable “job” reserved for him in political  boutique keeping.  But he was different. He came back after his studies with certain political philosophies , ideologies. He was not made to silently sit in the State Council  with his political buddies, and do politics as the rest of them.

He knew that was all he could do with them . But he had a greater vision for his country, which was to make it an Independent Sovereign Nation,  like England, France, Italy, Spain, China, Russia and even India. A Nation which is named after its majority, with its historical, cultural, religious values safeguarded and making them the Identity of  the Sovereign Nation with  one flag, one language and one National Anthem.   The 75 percent of the Sinhala were after all the majority in  his country., and therefore Sri Lanka is a Sinhala country, as England is English, France is French, Germany is German, China is Chinese and India would be Indian.

But the 12  percent or so of Tamils then stood against him demanding equal rights with the Sinhala, as the Tamils continue to do today. SWRD was faced with something he did not expect. But the political vision he expressed in launching the SLFP was to give the rightful place for the pancha maha bala vegaya, and through it unite the country to bring about a united nation of Sri Lankans with all communities sharing in its future prosperity, peace and security.

SWRD could not understand this Tamil opposition to a greater Sovereign Nation of Sri Lankans. But, unfortunately his great ambition for his country was stopped by a foolish man’s bullet. That ended the hope for an Independent Sovereign Sinhala Nation. There was nothing wrong in that, it is not racism,  but it was raising back to its feet a nation that was brought down by colonialism.

People try to argue that things have changed and that we are in the 21^st century. But has Sri Lanka reached the 21^st Century as a true and Independent sovereign State, or are we being pushed backwards by those who gave us independence from colonialism, to the status of an undeveloped colony of the West ?

SWRD’s dream was integrated in the political party he organised- the SLFP, until its leadership  was thrown on the 16^th January,2015,  to Maithripala Sirisena, who was not even a member of the SLFP,  having left it rejecting the ideology of SWRD on his own, to join the UNP and the right wing political groups.

Mrs. Sirimavo Bandaranaike as the leader of the SLFP carried out lot of political changes to the country along with the policies of SWRD embedded in the SLFP, but her taking Felix Dias Bandaranayake into its fold may not have been in keeping with SWRD’s political revival.

But SLFP  under  Chandrika’s leadership failed to retain her father’s vision. There was a lot expected from her,  but she failed to give the people and the country what  was expected of her. She had not only the Tamils creating problems, but also the Muslims failed to give her the required political support. The vicious and cruel  anti Sinhala UNP without  any positive vision for the country was a barrier to Chandrika, hemmed between Tamil terrorism and Western agitations to do much for the  development and progress of Sri Lanka

Today the things are no better, Ranil Wuckramasinghe, Ravi Karunanayake, Chandrika Kumaratunga, Mangala Samaraweera, Karu Jayasuriya, Ajith Perera,  are all Agents of the USA and the West doing evry thing to please them.

Maithripala Sirisena is entrenched in a deep gratitude to Ranil Wickramasinghe and Chandrika  for taking him away from SLFP to make of him a President. His allegiance to those who gave him what was beyond his imagination will never make of him a real leader of  the  SLFP with SWRD’s political ideologies entrenched within it.

President Mahinda Rajapakse on the other hand was no political boutique keeper. He had his own political visions and extended further  the political ideologies of SWRD. He took over the leadership of the Country and the SLFP with definite political views, first to eliminate terrorism, then to end  the  thirty years of suffering of the Sri Lankan people , and give bring to the country and the people much needed peace and security. He had to fight against not only the Tamil terrorism , but also Tamil politicians, UNP and other ambition political parties, and the West.

It is a pity that Mahinda Rajapakse  was not re-elected as President  in 2015, to finish the work he had yet to finish. Of course there will always be those who will continue to accuse him without any evidence for every fault under the sun, though he has done none of them as his ambition had been to free the country of terrorists, and then  unite the three Communities to make Sri Lanka an Independent Sovereign Nation,  as SWRD himself wanted it to be.  For a politician the family is his “political tool bag” . It may be a hindrance, a great help, or both.

There may be lot of political analysts, “objective” journalists, and others who will argue against this, but Kautilya that is what I believe- the SLFP under Maithripala Sirisena’s leadership is not the SLFP of SWRD Bandaranaike. Just forget about it and join the “Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna”  that replaces the SLFP which died on the 16^th January,2015.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණ

 2015  ජනවාරි 16 වනදා  ජනාධිපති  මහින්ද රාජපක්ස මැතිතුමා,  ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස්පක්ෂයේ සභාපතිත්වය,  එස් ඩබ්ලියු ආර් ඩී බණ්ඩාරනායක  මැතිතුමන් විසින් ප්‍රගතිසීලි නොවන  දේශපාලන පක්ෂයක් හැටියට සලකනලද  එක්සත් ජාතිකපක්ෂයෙන්  හා ඊට සම්බන්ධවූ දේශපාලන පක්ෂ විසින් තෝරාගත්  ජනාධිපති මෛත්‍රිපාල සිරිසේන මැතිතුමාට පැවරීමෙන්, ලංකාවේ පංච මහා බලවේගයන්ට තමන්ගේ දේශපාලන පක්ෂය අහිමිවූයේය.

ඒ වෙනුවට නව දෙශපාලන පක්ෂයක අවශ්‍යතාවය පිරිමසන්නට මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මැතිතුමාගේ අනුශාකත්වයෙන් හා ජී ඇල් පීරිස් මැතිතුමාගේ සභාපතිත්වයෙන් දෙශ පාලන පක්ශයක ශක්තියක් නොමැතිව අනාතවසිට්ය ලාංකික පන්චමහාබලවේගයන්  සඳහා දෙශපාලනමය ශක්තියක්  ලබාදීමට, ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණ පිහිටුවීම ඉතාමත් කාලෝචිතය.

එස් ඩබ්ලියු ආර් ඩී බණ්ඩාරනායක  මැතිතුමන්ගේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා  නිදහස් පක්ෂයෙ අන්තර්ගත  දේශපාලන දැක්ම මේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණතුල අන්තර්ගතව  ඇති බැවින්,  ජනාධිපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මැතිතුමා නායකත්වයදෙන ශ්‍රී ලංකා  නිදහස් පක්ෂය දේශපාලන දැක්මක් නැති අලියාගේ පුකෙන් වැටුණු දිවුල්ගෙඩියක්මෙන් හිස්ය.

ළඟ අනාගතයේදී  පවත්වනවායයි කියන ප්‍රාදේශීය සභා චන්දයට පොදූජනපෙරමුනෙන් එදිරිපත්කරන සභිකයන්ට චන්දයදීමෙන් රට අගාදියකට ඇදදමාගෙන යන ඉලව් යහපාලන ආණ්ඩුවට අනතුරුහැඟවීමක් කලහැකිය.

පොදූජනපෙරමුනෙ අපේක්ෂකයින්ට අපහසුතාවයන් ඇතිකිරීමට සිරිසෙන-රනිල් දෙපල අනොමය උත්සාහයක් ගන්නවා ඇත. ඊට මුහුණදීමට ජනතාව දැන්මම සුදානම් විය යුතුය. මේ සඳහා මුන්ගේ පළමුවන උත්සහායවෙන්නේ මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මැතිතුමාගේත්, පොදුජනපක්ෂ නායකයින්ගේත්, ඒකාබද්ධ විපක්ෂනායකයින්ගේත් චරිත ඝාතනයන් විශාල ලෙස ගෙනයාමයි.

එමෙන්ම ජනාධිපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මැතිතුමාට සුපුරුදු 2015 අගෝස් තුමාසයේ මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මැතිතුමාට, “ ඔබ දිනුවත් අගමැතිකම ඔබට නොදෙමෙයි” වශයෙන් ලියු තර්ජනාත්මක ලිපි මෙවරද ලිවීමට ජනාධිපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන පෙළඹීමට ඉඩ නැතිවා නොවේ.

මේවාට පොදුජනතාව රැවටිය නොයුතුයි. සිරිසෙන-රනිල්ගෙ යහපාලනය තක්කඩි හොරුබවට කරුනුකාරනා දැනටමත් එළිවී තියෙනවා. නමුත් මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මැතිතුමා  හෝ පොදුජනපක්ෂ නායකයින් හෝ ඒකාබද්ධ විපක්ෂනායකයින්ගේත් හොරකම් ගැන ගෙන යන චරිත ඝාතන, හා මඩගැසීම් කිසිම සාක්කි නැතිව කරන බොරු ප්‍රචාරයන්ය. 

මොවුන් කවරෙක්වත්  බටලන්දේ කොමිසන්  වාර්තාව වැනි කොමිසන් වාර්තාවකින්  මිනීමරුවන් හෝ මැරවරයින් බවට සඳහන්වී නැත.

සමහරක් ඊනියා දේශපාලන විචාරකයින් හා මද්‍යස්ථ මාද්‍යවෙදීන්යයි කියාගන්නවුන් කිසිම හේතු සාධක නැතිව කියනවා මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ රජයකාලයේ මාද්‍ය වෙදීන් බොහෝමයක් මැරුවාය, සුදුවෑන් රථ වලින් මිනිසුන් පැහරගෙනගියාය ආදීවශයෙන්. නමුත් මෑතකදී Lankaweb හී  ශේනාලී වඩුගේ මහත්මිය ලියු ලිපියක ඈ හේතුසහගතව ලීයනවා එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂයේ ආන්ඩුකාලවලදී කොපමණක් මාද්‍යාවේදීන් මරාදෑමුවාද කියලා.

එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂයේ ආන්ඩු අපෙරටෙ විනාෂමකාරි ආණ්ඩු බවට ඕනෑතරම් සාක්ෂිතියෙනවා. අදත් යහපාලන ආණ්ඩුවේ වඩාත්ම  බලවත් එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂයයයි රට විනාෂකිරීමේ ප්‍රතිපත්‍යය ගෙනයන්නේ. ජනාධිපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මැතිතුමා ඔවුන්ගේ අතකොලුවක්වී හමාරයි.

මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ රජයකාලයේ ශ්‍රී ලංකාව අතීශයින් දියුණුවුණා පමණක් නොවේ රට එක්සත්ව, ආරක්ෂිතව, හා සාමයෙන්යුතුව පැවතුන බව නැ කියන්න කිසිවෙකුවටවත් පුළුවන්කමක් නැ.

ඒ නිසා අපේ රට නැවතත් වැටී තිබෙන අගාදියෙන්  මුදවාගෙන, රට එක්සත් කරලා, බෞද්ධ සංස්කෘතික ප්‍රභෝදය ඇතිකරන්නත්, ජාතික සමගිය ඇතිකරන්නත් මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මැතිතුමා ගේ සහභාගිත්වය රටට අවශ්‍යයි.

මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මැතිතුමා දෙමලුන්ටවත් මුස්ලිම් කාරයින්ටවත් විරුද්ධව කටයුතු කළේ නැති බව තතු දන්නවුන් දන්නවා. ඔහු දෙමළ ත්‍රස්තවාදීන්ට විරුද්ධව මිස දෙමළ ජනතාවට විරුද්ධව කටයුතු කලේ නෑ. නමුත්  දෙමළ දේශපාලකයින් හා පිටරටවල සිටින දෙමළුන්, මවාපෙන්නන්නේ මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා ඇතුළු සිංහල ප්‍රජාවම දෙමල විරෝදීන් හැටියටයි.

ඒ බොරුව එසේ තියෙද්දෙන්,  නමුත් බුද්ධිමත් දෙමළ මුස්ලිම් ජනතාව මේ බොරුමගඩිවලට අසුනොවී සිංහල ජනතාව සමග එක්වී කටයුතු කලයුතු කාලය එළඹී තිබෙන බැවින් ලඟඑන ප්‍රාදේශීය සභා චන්දයට පොදූජනපෙරමුනෙන් එදිරිපත්කරන සභිකයන්ට චන්දය දීමෙන් ලංකික ජනතාවගේ සමගිය තහවුරුකරගන්න බුද්ධිමත් දෙමළ මුස්ලිම් ජනතාවගෙන් ඉල්ලාසිටින්නෙමු.

SLFP of SWRD died on 16 January,2015, when Party leadersip was handed over to Maithripala Sirisena.

SWRD  broke away from  the UNP  to form the  SLFP in terms of his political philosophy.  Chandrika Kumaratunga despite being the daughter of SWRD  did not follow her father’s political views and was never his political heir. Therefore,  after Mrs.Bandaranayake the heir of SWRD’s political party SLFP was Mahinda Rajapakse.

Mahinda Rajapakse was faced with a problem of having to stop the SLFP breaking up after his defeat at the Presidential election,  in the wake of Maithripala Sirisena’s scandalous  abandoning  the SLFP in seek of greener pastures in the UNP. A few ambition Ministerial portfolio seekers were already beginning to trickle away from SLFP to stand by Maithripala Sirisena.

The  President Mahinda Rajapakse was quite aware, that Maithripala Sirisena who walked away to the UNP seeking his own political liberation from SLFP, did not have a political philosophy or principle any where close to SWRD . Nevertheless, Rajapakse handed over its leadership to Maithripala Sirisena to avoid a break up of the SLFP which he loved,  as  much as his father who had a hand in helping SWRD to organise the SLFP.

It is  evident that Maithripala Sirisena’s SLFP is meant to be a party of the ambitious political power seekers, a part of the UNP, the Tamil Racists, Arabised Muslims, Catholic and Colombian Sinhala.

Further more SLFP of Maithripala Sirisena  is not of  Sri Lanka’s Pancha Maha Balavegaya , nor of the  patriotic  sons of the land who are ready to lay down their lives to protect the country to preserve its 2600 years old Buddhism,  and its Buddhist cultural identity which makes Sri Lanka the only country of its unique ancient traditions. Even USA, and the West cannot be proud of such an illustrious past as that of Sri Lanka.

Therefore,  SWRD Bandaranayake’s SLFP having  had met with an unnatural death on the 16^th January,2015, it is well that a new political party springs from the ashes of the old-SLPJP.

In forming the SLFP SWRD Bandaranayake was taking a risk as he was breaking away from the then capitalist class of Sri Lanka, influential over the poor Sinhala people bound by feudal rights, land tenure, and caste obligations. But the people were awaiting a saviour- a Diyasena to take them away into another political direction.

Hence the new founded Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna  would be an extension of  the political philosophy of SWRD  which would conveniently replace his SLFP which has now  taken a  different shade from the political philosophy and principles it was meant to represent.

But the risks that the organisers  of the Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna-SLPJP are taking  today are much greater than those SWRD had to take when he organised the SLFP.

There are not  only local politicos spitting their salivated poisons and level castigations like the future Presidential hopeful Champika Ranawaka, but also NGOs and foreign secret service agents, specially those of the RAW, MI5,CIA etc.,  with their pockets full of dollars roaming about trying to buy over politicians from the Mahinda Rajapakse Camp. Their presence could be imagined  from the recent  walk out of some members of the NFF of Wimal Weerawansa.

Therefore, every member of the SLPJP should take an oath to be dedicated to the cause of keeping Sri Lanka a unitary Nation, without encouraging, by thought, word or action  any attempt by any one to divide the country amoung the Tamil,  Muslims and Sinhala, and they would remain  united with the Party under all circumstances and promise not to sell the country through temptation for money, rank or position.

In Sri Lanka today Rogues and Traitors are Heroes , and Patriots who saved the country from disaster are called rogues and traitors.

The ordinary people of Sri Lanka have gathered from evident facts  that there is sufficient circumstantial evidence to show that the Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe is directly or indirectly  involved in  the  planned Central Bank Bond robbery. And  it is being confirmed  from the way his UNP followers are trying to make  the Prime Minister a hero, because he appeared before the Bond Commission to answer questions on the part he had played in the Bank Robery.

Then again the Prime Minister’s good friend the former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake who was selected the Finance Minister of the Year for Asia-Pacific by the prestigious , “The Banker ” Magazine, was forced to step down from his Ministerial position due to his involvement in the Central Bank Bond Robery.

The people now question why if Ravi Karunayake the former Finance Minister  had stepped down because of his involvement in the Bond Scam, why should not the Prime Minister follow suit as his presence before the  Commission  establishes the Prime Minister’s involvement in the Bond Scam.

Instead the Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe  who it seems , wants to claim that he got involved in the Bond scam as the Previous governments may have also got involved  in such a Bond Scams before him, has said in Parliament that he is calling for investigations into Bond Sales by the Central Bank under the previous governments in the years before 2014.

There is nothing so great in a Prime Minister appearing even in a court house, and be cross examined to clear his name from any theft he may have bee accused of ?  However  today the ordinary people of the country thinks that after the Bond Scam scandal Ranil Wickramasinghe has no moral right to continue to be the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka.

Then the President Maithripala Sirisena, who had been a silent spectator of the Bond Scam comedy for a long time, payed scant attention when the Prime Minister appointed  the blacklisted Governor of the Central Bank Arujun Mahendran as an advisor to the Prime Minister in the area of investments.

This was  despite the President Sirisena’s demand to remove him, and he  appointed Indrajith Coomarswamy as the Governor of the Central Bank. But yet the President Sirisena  did nothing to  settle the raging scandal around the Bond Scam that took place on the 27 February,2015.

The President Sirisena was also acclaimed  a hero after the Prime Minitser Ranil Wickramasinghe put in motion his FCID to catch the thieves and bribe takers of the previous government.  However, the President became aware of the  seriousness of the Bond Scam only  when he read the news papers, and heard the noise raging outside in the streets about the bond scam scandal.

It was only then on the 27 January,2017, one year after the Bond Scam, that President Sirisena  woke up to appoint  a Commission  to investigate into the Bond scam. The ordinary people now asks what the President was doing all that time, and questions whether he is not partly to be blamed for allowing the Bond Scam to continue for so long without a proper investigation, The people begin to wonder  whether it would  now not be best for him to  step down from his office along with his Prime Minister.

There are the pro President Sirisena Ministers of the Yahapalanaya, who praise the President as a great patriot, who saved Sri Lanka by taking a risk to walk away  from a vicious leader who was keeping the people of Sri Lanka  under his  grip, a dictator who had done away with  democracy , and  the rule of law , for the benefit of his  family, making money  and antagonising the western countries. Hence the Yahapalanaya sympathisers  believe that  the President is another great Yahapalanaya hero.

But the ordinary people of this country knows,  that the  President Mahinda Rajapakse who was betrayed by his friend and the General Secretary of his party, was no dictator. He was one who was given the driving seat of a dilapidated vehicle to take it  safely through  a  jungle road infested with terrorists , with untrustworthy army commanders, and a set of local political  leaders manipulated by the West and the Tamil diaspora.  President Mahinda Rajapakse had no time for political niceties or justness, for  him it was then a live or die situation.

President Mahinda Rajapakse had to be careful and  had to be strict  with those  with whom he was to work, and  help him, in order to drive safely the  dilapidated political vehicle he was handed over.  And the people knows that he drove that dilapidated  car to safety and removed obstacles  and brought peace and security to the country what ever the now heroic betrayers say about him, and say about  lack of democracy under him.

But apparently it was not  patriotism and the desire to save the country from a “demoniac’ leader that made Sirisena walk away from SLFP. He was rather  lured by the promise of the  Presidency of Sri Lanka offered to him by  Chandrika and  Ranil. It was the result of a secret plan,  a conspiracy hatched by the Ranil- Chandrika duo.

According to what Chandrika Kumaratunga said to a reporter of the HindustanTimes of the 15 September,2015:

“……On Saturday morning, speaking to a small group of journalists in New Delhi, on her first trip to the Indian Capital after the political change in Sri Lanka, Kumaratunga traced back the past decade and then recalled how she narrowed down on Maithripala Sirisena, the current President as a common candidate.

“He had worked under me, and was not known to be corrupt or a murdered. It was difficult to find someone in my party at the leadership level who met those parameters,” she said, with a smile.”

There you are,  that was how the choice was made  they wanted  a good honest malleable man from amoung the trusted people of  Mahinda Rajapakse, and that was how Chandrika picked the man who was  to back stab his leader.

That is not the end for Yahapalanya has created yet another hero. It is the former Yahapalana Minister of Foreign Affairs , the present Minister of Finance. Mangala Samaraweera a well known enemy of President Mahinda Rajapakse. His speciality was in selling Sri Lanka to the West and the Tamil diaspora, and do every thing to spit China in the face and promote the West as Sri Lanka’s new found friends.

The UNP and Chandrika went all out along with Mangala Samaraweera to kick out China’s influence in  Sri Lanka under President Mahinda Rajapakse, and welcome back the friends of the West neglected hitherto by Mahinda Rajapakse.

Mangala Samaraweera is quite proud of his smooth talk and ability to be servile to the white  West. Of course Chandrika and Ranil believed that it is the West that would help them to develop Sri Lanka, faster than Mahinda Rajapakse did with the help of China.

Mangala Samaraseera, Ranil and Chandrika won the West to their side, but the expected financial aid to develop the country failed to come from them. Yahapalanaya then had no alternative but to prostrate before  China begging for financial support to build Sri Lanka. China played their cards well with the “traitors”,  and asked for Sri Lanka’s National wealth in return for crumbs to serve them with what ever development they envisaged.

Mangala Samaraweera did not stop with winning the West, he went all out to sponsor a resolution the USA and the West had moved at the UN Human Rights Council denouncing Sri Lanka’s own Armed Forces for war crimes in the course of the elimination of terrorism.

Samaraweera went on his  knees at the Geneva Human Rights Council shedding tears of complacence praising  the West for the well prepared  resolution against Sri Lanka’s own Armed Forces, which he said hew would sponsor with humility on behalf of Sri Lanka.

Mangala Samaraweera also went with TNA terrorists supporter MP M.A. Sumanthiran  to a meeting of  the pro-terrorist Tamil Diaspora Organisations in Singapore, to promise them amoung other matters, to write a New Constitution to Sri Lanka making secret provisions to make the Constitution Federal once it is passed on Parliament.

Mangala Samaraweera has strange bedfellows to promote his efforts to sell Sri Lanka to the Tamils-Dambara Amila, Vickramabahu Karunaratne, and M.A.Sumanthiran. They were addressing  a meeting of the third Sathyagraha Campaign of 6.2 Million on Alert” on 24 November, 2017  opposite the Sacred Bo Tree in Matara. In his speech to the gathering  Mangala Samaraweera said,

“….The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and the United National Party (UNP) have formed a consensus government to finalise and adopt a new constitution for Sri Lanka as we do not know who would be elected as the Executive President in the future; so let's use this opportunity for the betterment of the country,"

M.A.Sumnthiran had said addressing the same gathering, “ power should be devolved for every citizen  to live amicably  as one family  and Sri Lanka to prevail as one Nation.” Vikramabahu Karunaratne had said , “In the past, northern politicians who addressed people of the south in Sinhala were assassinated by northern extremists. "Sumanthiran has ignored this threat as this duration may be the last opportunity to adopt a new constitution,”

After all this in the North TNA MP Sivajilingam had celebrated  terrorist Prabhakaran’s Birth day , yet the West  prods on the Yahapalanaya Government to continue with the Reconciliation.

In reality there is nothing to write about the political heist of the 8^th January, 2015, that set up a Yahapalanaya Government displacing a government that was looking forward to greater development of Sri Lanka, for its security ,  peace and welfare of the people.

After  the elapse of more than  two years Yahapalanaya has done nothing for the country and the people , but what ever they did was  all for the benefit and enrichment of themselves.  

Ranil Wicramasinghe and Sirisena keep making  more promises for the future to the people, already weighted down with financial burdens thrust upon them, and in poverty and distress caused  by the  Yahapalanaya Government’s  so far unfulfilled  promises.

Already fooled by this  “rogue” government which keeps on promising wealth and prosperity in eight years to come, would the people once again give their votes to them at the forth coming  elections for the Provincial Councils ?

If the people of the country were to trust these Yahaplanaya tricksters once again   and votes them into power in the Provincial Councils as well, there would be neither  hope nor prosperity,  but disaster in a divided Sri Lanka lost to its Sinhala Buddhists for ever.

Is that what the Sinhala Buddhists want ?

Today the Sinhala Buddhists who  are the majority of the  population have been reduced to a minority status in political power and decision making where the Yahapalanaya Government has with a pseudo reconciliation move given more power to  Tamils and Muslims to decide on the future of Sri Lanka.

We see that in the preparation of a new  Constitution , protection of Buddhism and the Buddhist Sinhala cultural values would only be a name board, giving more consideration to  satisfy the Tamil and Muslim interests , which are also promoted by the anti Sri lanka West.

If the Sinhala Buddhists would be divided  in their votes at the forthcoming Prvincial Council elections, it would be the Tamils and Muslims that would put back into power the disastrous Yahapalanaya, pushing the Sinhala majority to insignificance.

The NGO vultures have become the political advisers to the President Sirisena, and Ranil and Chandrika will steamroll any decisions of the President Sirisena, which would be reduced t u high sounding Sinhala speeches unheard in the West and ineffective in Sri Lanka.
