Maithripala Sirisena is not the owner of Sri Lanka to give land to India to build a Hindu Temple to Seetha of Indian Mythology.

Seetha of Hindu Mythology beutiful wife of Rama  was
kidnapped by Ravana King of Sri Lanka

After allowing India to build a Hanuman Bridge connecting Tamil Nadu to Sri Lanka, and promising to sign the ETCA with India to open the Sri Lanka’s employment opportunities to Indians, Maithripala Sirisena visiting India to meet Indian Prime Minister Modi has promised to give India land in Divurumpola , Nuwara Eliya to construct a Temple to Seetha of Hindu Mythology.

Every Sri Lankan worthy of  being a Sri Lankan should oppose with every force within oneself this abuse of power of  a man who was appointed President of Sri Lanka  thanks to a largely  Tamil and a Muslim vote, taking upon himself the right of ownership of Sri Lanka and promise to give its prime land to India to build a Hindu Temple to commemorate Seetha of Hindu Mythology.

Maithripala Sirisena has taken it on himself to please the Tamils and Muslims who voted for him while disregarding the Sinhala Buddhists.  In opposing Mahinda Rajapakse and the Joint Opposition Maithripal Sirisena shows his hostility towards the Sinhala Budhists who he knows had voted for Mahinda Rajapakse.

Sri Lanka has enough of  Hindu Temples and another to be built by India is one too much. Moreover, Buddhism was introduced to Sri Lanka by the Buddhist King Asoka of India sending his own son and daughter with Buddhist relics, when whole of India was Buddhist.

Buddhism disappeared in India around the 13th Century, not because Hinduism was a better alternative or the people wanted it, but there were other reasons in a caste infested India, conquered by the Muslims during the 12 to  16th centuries. Breaking up of India  was also due to the Muslim conquests. Muslims did not encourage caste system either and that attracted the conquered Indians, who were by then under pressure of the high caste Hindu priests to accept Hinduism and reject Buddhism.

The strong Hindu priests who survived the Asokan assault of the Hindu religion, were able after the death of King Asoka to gradually harness the  poor Indians back to its fold evoking frightful Hindu demons and fearful gods and goddesses like Kali Amman.  This was a reason that  helped re establishment of  Hinduism in Buddhist India.

The Hindu mythology with elephant headed Ganeshan, romantic Krishna, and powerful  Vishnus brought the Indians back to its cradle of myth, passion and fear..

The Hindu priests had  accepted Buddha as an avatar of Vishnu. They had adopted certain philosophical thoughts from Buddhism. The open debates by Hindu Sankhrachariyarya, also contributed to the acceptance of Hinduism by the Indian people, and the  disappearance of Buddhism by the 13th Century.  The philosophy of Bhagawath Geetha or Upanishads had no impact on Buddhism the objective of which is completely different from Buddhism. India had 65 different philosophies when Prince Siddhartha the Buddha to be was born. India was not short of philosophies.

But it was under Buddhist King Asoka that India flourished . India was then  compassionate, peaceful and generous.

Hinduism was not accepted by the Indian people because it was a better alternative to Buddhism.

In Sri Lanka we have far too many Hindu Temples. Some of them practice animal sacrifice  which should not happen in a Buddhist country.  It is time that the Buddhist Clergy of the tri Nikayas establish a code of worship banishing ritual for Hindu or any god or deities in  Buddhists temples.

The Hindu pantheon consists of  gods of mythology, imagined  worshipped through fear or for hopes  of success in life , or as a safeguard against omens , ill health and protection from enemies.

In allowing a large decorated Hindu Temples built by India will damage the Buddhist Sri Lanka with the establishment of a  Hindu religious cult, against the practices of which Buddha made his sermons.

Theravada Buddhism is very much alive in Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka was first Buddhist, Hinduism came after through invaders and plunderers. The Buddhist India of King Asoka was made ugly , cruel and a cradle of violence against the low cast and under privileged.  We do not want that to happen to Sri Lanka nor should we encourage it,  by allowing India to build a temple to  Seetha of Hindu Mythology.

This is what our ignorant President Maithripala  Sirisena who readily bends back words to please the “high and mighty’ India and the West is doing.

During the recent visit to see Modi in India, the President Sirisena had promised to give the necessary land in Divurumpola  to India to allow  Chief Minister Ram Madhav to build a Hindu Temple for Seetha.  It has also apparently been decided to hand over its maintenance after its construction to India Foundation of Ram Madhav.

Sri Lanka is not the property of Maithripala Sirisena .  He is only the President of Sri Lanka until another is elected after him.  Therefore Maithripala Sirisena has no right to promise any land –prime land at that, to be  given for the construction of a Hindu Temple.  Sri Lanka belongs to the people of Sri Lanka and therefore Maithripla Sirisena on his own   cannot promise to give any land for the construction of a Hindu Temple to India , without consulting the people.

All Buddhists and the Buddhist monks of the four Nikayas should get together  to protest against this high handed action of Maithripala Sirisena-the President, who seems to think he can do any thing with Sri Lanka without consulting the people.

The Buddhist Monks and the people should  take seriously into consideration the anti-Sri Lanka activities that is being  practiced by the Yahapalanaya Government,  and vehemently protest against the President, Prime Minister and the Yahapalanaya Government who  carrying on their planned activities to sell Sri Lanka to India and the West.

With the  construction of the overland Hanuman Bridge, an under sea tunnel to join Sri Lanka to India, the ETCA agreement to be signed in June,2016 despite continued protests against the signing of the agreement, setting up a hybrid court to prosecute our own Armed Forces to please the Tamil Diaspora, USA and the West, and now with the agreement to give  land to construct the Hindu Temple to Seetha of Indian Mythology, the Yahapalanaya government has sold our country without even the people knowing it.

It is time our people get together en mass to say no to Yahapalanaya Government and demand the President Maithripala Sirisena and his  Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe to resign in the larger interest of  Sri Lanka, its culture, its religion and its people.

The worst in the Mythology of Rama and Seetha is that it Praises Rama a Prince of India, and condemns Ravana a King of Sri Lanka. It praises the war,  against Ravana the King of Sri Lanka, by the Indian prince Rama, with the king of Monkeys-Hanuman, the  rarely waking Kumbakarna and an Indian army. Do we want this comedy in Sri Lanka  in this Century ?
Rama comes with his Chief worrier the King of monkeys Hanuman to Sri Lanka to wage a war against Ravana to take back Seetha

What makes it further  unacceptable  is that there is already a Hindu Temple where Seetha was said to have been kept hidden.  Why then  another temple ?  Why could not our dumb President Maithripala Sirisena have said so ?

Ravana of Sri Lanka was a very clever intelligent King  who had his own flying machine with which he went to India and Kidnapped Seetha.  His portrait is depicted with ten heads which means that he was a man as good as having ten heads so brilliant and intelligent.

Maithripala Sirisena,Ranil Wickramasinghe and Yahapalanaya Government have sold their birthright.

To-day on the day that marks another anniversary  of the end of a thirty years of ruthless terrorism, we remember with gratitude our former President Mahinda Rajapakse, Gotabhaya Rajapakse and all those who were around them and those live to tell the tale, and the valiant soldiers some who gave their lives , others who gave their limb and blood, and  those soldiers of ours who have become our heroes –the fountain of life for  thousands of lives which would have been victims of terrorism if not for them.

We are also grateful to those  mothers who gave to the armed Forces to fight against terrorism their sons or daughters, and to those widows who sacrificed their husbands, and those children who lost their fathers  in the fight against terrorisms to liberate our motherland and to assure that it remains an undivided united country, and above all for bringing peace and security to all our people Tamil, Muslim and Sinhala.  They gave us hope to live, they protected our religion and culture. We shall always remain grateful to our Armed Forces under the great leadership given to them by Gotabhaya Rajapakse and the Political leadersip given by our great leader the former President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapakse.

We also remember the then Commander of Armed Forces Sarath Fonceka for the part he played in the military operations against terrorism, despite his turning his back on those who made a Military victory possible over terrorism, and his inability blinded through anger, forgetful of good breeding to control his language, and be worthy of the role he played to save mother Lanka from terrorism.

We also think of political leaders, Ministers, Officers of the Armed Services, Police officers, constables and others who died being victims of terrorist Suicide bombs, claymore bombs, snipers and grenade throwers.

We also think of thousands of innocent men ,women, children, and also unknown numbers of  Buddhist monks who were murdered by the terrorists, being shot, hacked to death, blasted in bombs, or burnt alive by the terrorists.

We also think with  pride and gratitude  our armed forces for having  rescued 300 thousand  Tamil civilians kept as human shield  by the terrorists under most difficult conditions  carrying only small arms against the heavy Guns turned on them by the ruthless terrorists who cared little for the lives of the Tamil civilians.

We think with gratitude our young  mostly Buddhist Sinhala Soldiers, who fought for their motherland  with dedication  to save every one of the people of Sri Lanka without discrimination against the Sinhala, Tamil, or Muslims.

Unfortunately a Government calling itself Yahapalanaya has come to power today and they seem to have forgotten our valiant Soldiers, their officers and the political leadership given to them by our former President Mahinda Rajapakse, who gave us all a breath of life when our innocent people saw and heard of deaths of  compatriots, kith or kin practically every day for nearly thirty long years, without hope that there would be an end to that ruthless terrorism.
This Government led by Maithripala Sirisen and Ranil Wickramasinghe has said  no to celebrate this day of commemoration of the end of a thirty year war of terrorirsm which brought  happiness to every man, woman and child who were freed from living in fear of death under terrorism, the day Sri Lanka was saved from forced division, and continued death to those who were fighting and those who were innocent.

Maithripala Sirisena  elected  as President of Sri Lanka thanks to the Tamil and Muslim votes, and the Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe appointed Prime Minister by him and their Government,  have decided today to sympathise with the terrorists that killed and maimed our people,  rather than remember gratefully the Armed Forces that gave their lives, limbs, and blood to save Mother Lanka and allow the  Tamils, Muslims and Sinhala to live peacefully.

Maithripala Sirisena, Ranil Wickramasinghe and their Government  have sold their birth right to please the Tamil Politicians, the Tamil Diaspora that financed and supported terrorism, USA, and the West working under instructions from the Tamil Diaspora for the strength of their votes for political support.

Security and Protection to President Mahinda Rajapakse

All civilised countries with Presidents provide the highest security and protection to their ex-Presidents. Sri Lanka which was until 8th January,2015 a civilised country, which we hope continues to be despite a Yahapalanaya Government should give its ex-President the highest security and protection.

Ranil Wickramasinghe the  Prime Minister of Sri Lanka who has  behind him a scandalous history of brutality  of  Batalanda torture camp, had said in Parliament, that Mahinda Rajapakse will be give special police protection and that military contingent now protecting him will be withdrawn.

Ranil Wickramasinghe thinks that he knows every thing and with the UNP followers of his saying that he is clean, have never been accused for corruption and bribery, does not for an instant think that he is not that clean. There is enough reason to think otherwise. The Governor of the Central Bank Arjun Mahendran involved in the bond scam, still retains his post and  Ravi Kaunanayake who had a case against him for money laundering in High Court was given the Ministry of Finance.  Has any one of those who praise Ranil Wickramasinghe for his cleanliness questioned why Arjun Mahendran and Ravi Karunanayake were protected ?

As a reason for withdrawal of the army personnel detailed to protect the ex President Mahinda Rajapakse , Ranil Wixkramasqinghe says “…Everywhere in the world it is the police that undertake VIP security”.  Ranil  W,  in making that statement either shows his complete ignorance of matters pertaining to protection of honoured ex Presidents in civilised countries or tries to fool the people.

In America it is the special Secret Service that protects the ex Presidents.  These personnel are highly trained and are not at all police officers. the Secret Service integrates a variety of innovative technologies and maintains a highly skilled and motivated workforce. Using advanced counter measures, the Secret Service executes security operations that deter, minimize and decisively respond to identified threats and vulnerabilities.
“The protective environment is enhanced by specialized resources within the Secret Service, including: the Airspace Security Branch; the Counter Sniper Team; the Emergency Response Team; the Counter Surveillance Unit; the Counter Assault Team; the Hazardous Agent Mitigation and Medical Emergency Response Team; and the Magnetometer Operations Unit. Other specialized resources also serve to provide protection from threats, including chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear materials and explosive devices.”
All former Presidents, and  First ladies are provided lifetime Secret Service protection. The Children of the ex Presidents are also entitled to same protection until they are 16 years of age. Even former President Bush’s daughters  kept Secret Service Protection.
It is said that, the American  Secret Service does not divulge the costs of its protective details, but it's believed to be in the range of tens of millions of dollars a year for each former president
IN France there are three living ex-Presidents. One of them President Valery Giscard D’Estaing, was a Member of Parliament for a period of time after he retired as the President of France.  His Security was continued even when he was an MP.   The close physical protection of the President of France is entrusted to the GSPR (Groupe de sécurité de la présidence de la République). The Guards however provides counter-sniper teams (Observateurs-contre-tireurs) and SWAT teams (called pelotons d'intervention or intervention platoons ) The three ex Presidents cost the taxpayer in France a sum of Euros 10 million a year.
Even the second homes of the ex Presidents of France are protected by the French Government…  “Second homes belonging to Mr Chirac, in Limousin, and Mr Giscard d'Estaing, in Loir et Cher, are also given ‘special protection’. Mr Sarkozy has no second home but, according to Mr Dosière, his personal protection detail costs nearly €1.8million annually. ”

Prime Minister Wickramasinghe is a liar, he lies to convince the people that he is correct and he knows all world affairs. He said, “Even former US President George Bush was given only Police security. He has ISIS threats….”  He lies to put our dear  ex- President’s life in peril.
Ranil Wickramasinghe says that even the President Sirisena and himself are given police and STF Security. They in fact need no security measures as they are friends of the ex terrorists and the Tamil diaspora financing and aiding the former terrorists and may finance a future terrorist resurgence.
Since Ranil Wickramasinghe was sworn in as Prime Minister, he has shown himself highly inept and an  indifferent public figure in the Parliament the august Assembly of the country.  He sits and acts in it as a comedian in an opera rather than as the Prime Minister of a Sovereign State.

He shouts at MPs calls them ugly names and laughs at them, without seriously answering questions he is asked.  It was Ranil’s idea to give a Ministry to Sarath Fonseka for nothing else but sling as much  mud as possible at Rajapakse family.  Sarath Fonseka is no politician and he is good at nothing other than to emit poisonous gas …..He is a Minister with a rotten mouth specially detailed to scandalise and make scathing speeches in parliament against the ex President Mahinda Rajapakse and his family..

It is becoming quite evident now that both Maithripala Sirisena and Ranil Wickramasinghe are not fit to hold the offices-  the first that of the President and the second that of the Prime Minister. Just being elected as a President does not give one the mind of a leader destined to be a Head of State.

One should have the mental capacity to  make use of the available riches –such as the people with imagination , experience and  wise men like  the ex President Mahinda Rajapakse, and other leading entrepreneurs, and administrators connected with the former government of the ex President,  to continue to give the people and the country their services.

These two- Maithripala Sirisena and Ranil Wickramasinghe did not stop doing the wrong things ever since they took over  business of governing  Sri Lanka on 8th January, 2015.  When they stepped into replace the former President Mahinda Rajapakse, Sri Lanka was on firm ground. The economy was sound, numerous development projects were under way financed by China, Japan, India, and many other countries.

Only snag was with America and the West which had decided to accuse Sri Lanka for war crimes in the elimination of terrorism, which is only for USA and the West to take revenge from President Mahinda Rajapakse, who took his own decisions without giving into pressure from USA and the West.  USA and the West wanted to do the same to Sri Lanka under Mahinda Rajapakse, that they did to Iraq, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, and Syria.

If Maithripala was intelligent, a  wise man,  a good leader who had followed well his former leader , he should have left the work  commenced by President Mahinda Rajapakse  to continue  at least for a period of time.  He could have done that because the West wanted only a regime change but not to stop all work that was being carried out in Sri Lanka

But the problem Maithripala Sirisena  was faced with,  was Ranil Wickramasinghe.  It was Ranil who made it possible for him to become the President of Sri Lanka and there was therefore an obligation to listen to Ranil Wickramasinghe.

Ranil Wickramasinghe on the other hand was getting political power into his hand after having been rejected by the people for nearly 29 years.  He was not satisfied  being a subordinate to Maithripala Sirisena who had not even been to a recognised school like the Royal College, therefore Ranil Wickramasinghe was keen in leading a UNP Government as the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka.

A UNP Government policy is radically different from  President Mahinda Rajapakse’s socialist policies and  the USA, West and India were insistent that Ranil Wickramasinghe  break away from China if he wanted the help of USA,  the West and India. Hence Ranil Wickramasinghe  would not agree with  Maithripala Sirisena to continue the government without radical changes  to what Sri Lanka was on the 9th January,2015. Ranil wanted his UNP Capitalism crowned for once after nearly 29 years in the political wilderness.

It is evident Maithripala Sirisena is only a nominal President of Sri Lanka and all important decisions with regard to governance is taken by the Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe. Maithripala Sirisena is  continued to be flattered (being laughed at) by the West. It is evident because Maithripala Sirisena is not such a great political genius, to be invited by USA and the West  for the Anti Corruption Summit and the G7 summit.

What can Maithripala Sirisena give to the world , when he has  given nothing even to Sri Lanka ?

If he is wise Sirisena will at least understand that to have an Anti Corruption Summit in London, there aught to be corruption in the world , not only in Sri Lanka. If he learns some thing from it,  he will surely cancel all anti corruption measures against the former Rajapaksa Government , as it is  a sheer wastage of money , time, and personnel.

But both Sirisena and Ranil are  lamentably unintelligent. Even the provision of  security and  protection to the most important person in Sri Lanka the ex President Mahinda Rajapakse has given these two unreasonable men,  the opportunity to take revenge from Mahinda Rajapakse and his family.  Even if Mahinda Rajapakse is not important to Sirisena, Ranil, Chandrika and their followers,  he remains the  most popular man  in the country, and a hero of the people whom they cherish and to whom they want the government to give the  highest protection.

Ranil Wickramasinghe has neither sympathy nor respect to  any one least of all to ex President Mahinda Rajapakse. Sirisena and Ranil should know,  or  atleast be informed, that the Police cannot always be trusted.  It is known that an  ASP had been bought by the LTTE to do their dirty work,  This is what the wife of late Minister Jeyaraj Fernandopulle assassinated by the terrorists  had said recently:

Dr Mrs Fernandopulle said that until the shocking revelations, made by ASP Cooray, following his arrest, nearly one and half years after Fernandopulle’s assassination, it never crossed her mind the police officer’s involvement with the LTTE. Obviously, Cooray had been an LTTE agent, masquerading as a policeman, hell bent on causing death and destruction, the State Minister asserted.”
Raniil Wickramasinghe’s hatred of Mahinda Rajapakse has no limit. He first called Rajapakse and his family thieves. He  sets up his own FCID to intimidate Rajapakses and all those connected to him.

Ranil then gives a Ministry to Sarath Fonseka for him to be at  his command when he wants  to castigate and  make revulsive accusations against Rajapakses in Parliament. Undoubtedly now it is his cruel criminal Batalanda mentality which  has prompted him to   withdraw  Army Security to ex President Mahinda Rajapakse.

In the Parliament on the 3rd May, Ranil Wickramasinghe did not invited Sarath Fonseka spontaneously to speak, but it had all been planned.  Sarath Fonseka was there with a prepared speech to promptly get up when Ranil Wickramasinghe while speak on the subject of security to ex President  turned round  saying that he does not know much about providing army security  and said  that he would ask Minister Sarath Fonseka to explain , and asked Sarath Foseka  how many soldiers were detailed  to him for his security.

Sarath Fonseka then rose holding the already prepared speech in his hand, and opened his poisonous mouth and and went on yakking  a long time  without minding the  half hearted demands of the speaker Karu Jayasuriya to sit down.

Sarath Fonseka who even asked that the terrorist Morris who planned to assassinate him be pardoned has now nothing to fear from the ex terrorists, or even resurging terrorists,  he fought against as the Army Commander of the Sri Lanka Army.  But our ex President Mahinda Rajapakse is different from Sarath Fonseka, Chandrika Kumaratunga, and Sirisena and Ranil, therefore he has to be protected from the terrorist sympathisers here and abroad.

The Government  should not hesitate to detail an Army Contingent trained for personal protection of VVIP for the protection of ex President Mahinda Rajapakse.  In doing that the government will be serving the  people who had voted for Mahinda Rajapakse at the Presidential election, and others who are grateful to him for the elimination of terrorism.

What was different about Kirulapone May Day Rally.

What has Maithripala Sirisena done to deserve a large crowd at his May Day rally ?

Only thing he has done is to allow Ranil Wckramasinghe and Chandrika Kumaratunga to sell Sri Lanka to India and the west within the shortest time he accidentally became the President of Sri Lanka. In helping the Ranil Chandrika duo to sell the country to India and  West, he also helps to divide the country between the Tamils , and the Muslims and place the Sinhala in the third place.

The Sri Lankans have no reason to gather round Maithripala Sirisena, as he has done nothing even remotely  comparable to hundreds of things the former President Mahinda Rajapakse has done to Sri Lanka within five years after elimination of terrorism.   Maithripala Sirisena  cannot now or a life time after compare himself even to the shadow of Mahinda Rajapakse.

Maithripala Sirisena  and those who got the priviledge of holding Ministries in  the UNP Government,   which they would have never been able to get if Maithripala Sirisena was not made the cats paw of the UNP  to form a Yahapalanaya Government, vie against each other  to assert that the largest crowd at the May Day Rally was in Galle

There was a good crowd in Galle thanks to the free blue shirts, lunch and free ride to Galle not to mention any other discretely provided  incentives.  Yes Galle May Day was a large Blue Crowd.  In  Campbell Place the ground was gone Green.  But UNP unlike Maithripala Sirisena’s SLFP, has not come forward still to blast horns about Campbell Place rally to have been the largest. But both rallies the Blue Rally at Galle and the Green Rally at Campbell Place were both artificial, and insignificant to the May Day Rally at Kirulapone.  The people attended to fill the grounds for a May day which they did not care much about, because neither that UNP nor that SLFP has given the people what they want.

There was however a difference in the Kirulapone May Day Rally.  There was a sea of ordinary people.  They had not come in uniforms of any colour , but wearing their own clothes.

The crowd of people who gathered at Kirulapone had not received uniforms to attend the Kirulapone May Day Rally, like  the blue uniforms  at the Galle May Day Rally or the Green uniforms to attend the May Day Rally at Campbell Place.

The mass of ordinary people  at the Kirulapone May Day Rally came in great numbers not  because it was the workers day, but they gathered to be with their beloved leader- the   President Mahinda Rajapakse.  It was an occasion for them once again to tell the Yahapalanaya government that they have rejected  Ranil’s UNP and Maithripala’s SLFP. They said not vocally but by personal attendance at the May Day Rally that they will always be with their dear President Mahinda Rajapakse.

Therefore, please take note that the real people of this country gathered in great numbers at Kirulapone.  And of those uniformed crowds at Galle half of them may have come for the fun of it,   and most of them may have been those who voted for a change and  are  now utterly disappointed  with the Yahapalanaya, and   regret  not having voted for Mahinda Rajapakse at the Presidential election. It was a case of  beating the drum they tied around them ( බැඳගත්ත බෙරේ ගහනවා).

Intelligent people who can think, may  understand what a mistake they made in casting their  vote for a change, and to have  someone different to replace (at least for some time to come) an  irreplaceable-leader  of the calibre of the former President Mahinda Rajapakse. It is Sri Lanka that lost in that foolishness,  a  great leader who  Sri Lanka was fortunate to have for the first time after Independence

Sri Lanka Under President Mahinda Rajapakse was a vast construction sight. Every were there was work going on to construct new roads, carpet new roads or lay concrete on pathways.  New projects were being started, the old finished and declared opened. There were buildings  for schools, IT Centres, hospitals, recreation grounds, markets, shopping arcades. There were Military Camps that assured the security of the country and the people.

But what has Maithripala Sirisena the people elected for a change by  mistake given to the people?

Maithripala Sirisena, Ranil Wickramasinghe and Chandrika Kumaratunga have together given the people a police state. In their Sri Lanka,  Police , FCID, Presidential Investigation Commission, Bribery Commission, and a brand new Minister Sarath Fonseka specially appointed to throw mud at President Mahinda Rajapakse and his family .

Sarath Fonseka is like a robot which starts talking at the command of the Prime Minister.  He is a military man( the worst type) and his words are rough, dirty, uncouth, venomous, and stink.

Maithripala Sirisena has given to the people a Prime Minister as cruel as he is, who has shown utter immaturity in proposing projects to Sri Lanka which may only sell it to India and the West making Sri Lanka a colony of the West and India.  Sirisena has become the “ poodle” of the West dressing him in a prestige he lacks, and inviting him to places he would be like a “square peg in a round hole”.

What is Sirisena’s use and importance at G7 meeting ?

It was yesterday that the Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake said of the “friendly west pampering Sirisena”, that “….. I am being brutally frank but there is no point saying we are with the world if they are not helping us….”

All these insincere praise extended to Maithripala  Sirisena by the USA and the West is to make him  happy and keep Sri Lanka in the Western Circle, leaving the strategic position of Sri Lanka for their use and benefit. West will not a give a “dime” to help Sri Lanka.

The great leader President Mahinda Rajapakse’s smiling face was every where  during his time as President, making people proud of what he had given to them, peace and desire to live in a modern country without fear of terrorism.  There was a considerable developed standard of living.  The whole country from North to South and East to West benefitted from his generosity , his visionary concepts for a developed Sri Lanka remain extraordinary.

It was those grateful people who rallied in innumerable numbers at Kirulapone to see Mahinda Rajapakse their beloved leader and offer him their gratitude by being present at his call.

Mister President be a Buddhist with Loving Kindness and Compassion in heart instead of Anger, Hatred and thoughts of Vengeance.

A President of a Country once elected becomes the President of every one.  He will  not only  be the President of the Party he represents, but also those opposition parties which may have voted against him.  Therefore he cannot be a  friend of some of the people and the enemy of some. Because once he is elected President he becomes the President of every Citizens in the country

Therefore we cannot understand Maithripala Sirisena treating  the former President and his supporters different from those who voted for him and promised their support.  Even if those who voted against Maithripala Sirisena speaks against him and his policies  Maithripala Sirisena has no moral right to take vengeance from them. To love your enemy as you love yourself is a great human quality, a way to get into the hearts of the people.

The President  should be able to accept   criticism, and  remain honourable and equanimous  without reacting to critics.  That would show  the greatness of a man who holds the highest office of the Nation.  This is equanimity(upekkha), which  distinguishes the goodness of the character of a person, from others.

But can we say this  about  Maithripala Sirisena ? No, unfortunately not.

He is acting like a cheap  village thug, trying his best to use all the power of his office to take  revenge from his enemies.  He even stops the Joint Opposition from holding a separate May day Rally and gets his Judiciary to issue court orders to  stop the use of the ground for their rally.

It is a shame for Maithripala Sirisena to come down  to that low level of a thug using his force to  stop his enemies  from using their rights.  His stopping the conduct of the Joint Opposition rally is anti democratic.  His fear is that the Galle Rally of his will have a lesser attendance, that should not be the reason for him to act like an authoritarian leader without consideration for other people.

He is becoming an adharmistaya ( අධර්මිෂ්ඨයෙක්). The President of Sri Lanka should be  a man of merit ( පින්වතෙක්). Therefore it is the Buddhist monks who should take him  in hand to make of him a  good  Buddhist leader.

President Maithripala Siriseana is very boastful. He tell the people at meetings his generosity towards his enemies, like providing security to the former  President and providing him with a helicopter to take him to Medamulana after  the election.

He takes pride in the fact how well he is received by the West. He speaks of how the Queen Elizabeth took her gloves off to shake hands with him.  He tell how the Prime Minister of UK  David Cameron came up to the car that took him to 10 Downing Street, and opened its door for him to get down. He tells of him being invited to attend the G7 Summit meeting.

But he little realises that these are the flattery of Western Suddho to keep Sri Lanka within the Western fold. In reality  it is sure these Western Leaders have a good laugh at his expense dressing him as a man to please ( ගොණාට අන්දනවා). Otherwise what could Maithripala Sirisena contribute to the G7.  He is only the  leader of Sri Lanka, a country which is in the grip of financial bankruptcy.

Even the UNP leader, his Ministers, and  Chandrika flatter him without any great respect or affection. Maithripala Sirisena has served their purpose, and to that extent they speak respectfully of him. The President Sirisena  is weak of mind  not to understand that.

He does not realise that  he will receive  respect and affection of the people by changing his present position  of an angry, vicious, revengeful man taking every opportunity to condemn and assail the former President Mahinda Rajapakse  his family and those who are close to him.

Maithripala Sirisena should accept that Mahinda Rajapakse will remain a popular and a respected man amoung the people of this country. Mahinda Rajapakse’s service to the people cannot be equalled by another leader- past, present and perhaps  in the near future..

As long as the memory of  his elimination of the feared terrorism last,  even if it is not for any other contribution he has made to the country, people will still be grateful to him and show their respect and affection.  That cannot be removed by Maithripala Sirisena or even by any other National leader of Sri Lanka for years to come.

Maithripala Sirisena should stop his anger and vengeance against Mahinda Rajapakse. More he attacks the former President Mahinda Rajapakse, more will President Maithripala Sirisean be hated by the ordinary people of Sri Lanka. It is a fact that a large majority of the Sinhala Buddhists did not vote for him, and still refuse to accept him in preference to Mahinda Rajapakse.

Maithripala Sirisena has nothing to fear from  Mahinda Rajapakse or his supporters, as he  will be the President of Sri Lanka for the next four or five years.  Mahinda Rajapakse is now only a Member of the Parliament and will not be a rival to him in any way other than perhaps taking away the affection of the people from him.

President Maithripala Sirisena should cleanse his mind with thoughts of Buddhist kindness (metta) and compassion( karuna) towards his supposed enemies.  If he begins to understand his enemies and  show sympathy, it will reflect back on him, turning his enemies to be his friends.

Therefore, please be advised  Mr. President to stop your meetings to slam  the former President Mahinda Rajapakse , to speak ill of him and ask people not to attend his May Day rally to be held in Kirilepone.

If Maithripala Sirisena could do that, even if he were to have a lesser number of people attending his May Day Rally in Galle, the people will reflect on Maithripala Sirisena’s goodness and begin to respect and show their affection to him  in return.

Thursday, 28 April 2016

Maithripala Sirisena has begun his Nadagama against Mahinda Rajapakse, which has become his Presidential Occupation.

Crowds at Mahinda Rajapakse rally at Hydepark blinds Maithripala Sirisena with rage
and gets his Judiciary to stop Joint Opposition May day rally.  Is this Maithripala Sirisen's Yahapalanaya ? Every right thinking person should defy this  and attend the May Day rally at Kirilepone and boycott  May Day Rally in Galle.
Maithripala Sirisena  re-enacts  his anti Mahinda Rajapakse Nadagama meticulously prepared for  the  17 Ausust, 2015 Parliamentary elections, once again  before the scheduled May Day rallyIn view of this annoying Nadagama,  it is well worth asking how much of a Buddhist Maithripala Sirisena is, not forgetting that he still owes President Mahinda Rajapakse for the Hopper he ate that night before turning traitor to SLFP.
Is  being a Buddhist compatible with turning against his friends for personal gain ? We are not speaking of an  ordinary Buddhist but about a Buddhist who takes the reins of leadership of a Theravada Buddhist Country. However, Sirisena’s actions vis à vis his former political mentor and companion  since taking reins of leadership as President belies his Buddhistness.
In Matugama addressing a gathering President Maithripala Sirisena had said  that the Buddhist philosophy has been instrumental  in molding a righteous society in the country and a moral society could be built based on the Buddhist philosophy.  But it is unfortunate that Maithripala Sirisena had not been molded  either as a  righteous person nor as a moral person in the  sense of Buddhist philosophy.
Maithripala Sirisena lacks ordinary moral principles civilised men and women are expected to follow. One such is  shared secrets , and personal information  amoung friends.  A psychologist says, “We use our friends as sounding boards for the big decisions and the small decisions in our lives. We trust them with our secrets, because we know that they won’t tell a soul.. ” .
But Maithripala Sirisena takes a pleasure in telling unpleasant things, secrets, and confidential information he only knows about his one time friend, Leader of the political party in which he was the General Secretary.  Sirisena lashed at the former President at  a meeting of heads of print and electronic media. Sirisena said  “ their past regime was corrupt  and oppressive and I knew what the Rajapakse clan was planning if they won the election.  Out of sheer fear and contempt  and in the interest of the country , I decided to resign  and join hands with the Common Opposition  for a change  despite having opposed UNP for 48 years.”
What a shameless drivel. The people knows that he is telling blatant lies.  He  never resigned from the Party , but walked away like a thief in the night of the 13th  of November, 2014 after eating hoppers with  his leader Rajapakse whom he unashamedly- like Judas Iscariot down grades and sells to his enemies.
Sirisena was in fact roped in by Chandrika to become the Common Opposition Presidential Candidate not because of his aptness for the office , but because  he is influenceable,  according to Chandrika’s  own statement. Chandrika approached him to declare her intention  as  she knew that Sirisena was depressive  not having been made the Prime Minister.
If it was so distasteful being with the past corrupt Regime of  Rajapaksa, as he says , why did not he resign before instead of waiting to be called by Chandrika Kumaratunga to be the common Presidential Candidate ?
Now he can tell lies at round tables to open mouthed naïve listeners.  Of course the UNP Ministers and UNP sympathisers like him very much because never would they have been able to form a UNP Government  if  it had  not been for Maithripala Sirisena betraying his political party in which he had been for 48 years  and leaving his friends who had trusted him as the General Secretary of his party.
But in his unprincipled behaviour Maithripala Sirisena  shows to what an extent he is not suitable to be the President of Sri Lanka a predominantly Buddhist country. His motivation  for this degrading behaviour, as we see it, is that he is suffering  from an unfathomable  inferiority complex vis à vis the former President Mahinda RajapakseThe only way he finds to make up that defect is by inventing  and dispensing defamatory information about his former leader.
He shows not only his lack of moral principles, but also his ignorance of the teachings of the Buddha being a  Buddhist of no consequence, who knows next to nothing of the deep philosophy of Buddha Dhamma.
His random  tribute to Buddhism is false as he fails keeping even the five Buddhist precepts , and having no moral principles. He gave into temptation for power, betraying those who had placed their trust in him.  He was not content with his simple situation in life as a Minister and a General Secretary of an important political Party, and threw his  Buddhist philosophy under the table to walk away from his friend in the night of the 13 November,2014, to join his enemies to satisfy his unbridled greed for power.

In what ever situation a person who can stand by a moral code, without giving into temptation  for power respecting the trust his friends had placed on him is a moral person. In that sense Maithripala Sirisena is  not a moral person, therefore he has no right either to speak of righteousness, nor that of  morality.

A man who speaks of Buddhist philosophy may yet sin against the moral codes of Buddhism, but what is unpardonable is  not the  act of treachery against those who had placed their trust in him and go in stealth to join their enemies, but  what is unpardonable is  being  in the enemy camp planning  revenge against those to whom he became a traitor. This is what Maithripala Sirisena is now doing sitting safely and comfortably with his former political enemies against whom he fought political battles along side his former political companions.

But Maithripala Sirisena is a man boiling  with anger, hatred and vengeance. An angry man is not fit to be a President of a Nation. In Anguttara Nikaya it is, said: “ As a log from a pyre, burnt at both ends and fouled in the middle, serves neither for firewood in the village nor for, timber in the forest, so is such a wrathful man.  ”

Srisena from his revengeful conduct against his one time political friends shows that he is not suitable to lead the nation as its President. A man in whatever manner he has been brought to hold the office of the President of Sri Lanka should respect the teachings of the Buddha  he had rightly or falsely followed as a Buddhist to be worthy of being a President of  this predominantly Buddhist nation. In terms of Buddhist philosophy one should love even his enemies. Buddhist teachings expect a very high standard of  universal love, respect and the highest degree of patience .

In Kakacupama Sutta in Majjhima Nikaya, Buddha tells his monks: Suppose some bandits catch one of you and sever his body limb from limb with a two-handed saw, and if he should feel angry thereby even at that moment , he is not a follower of my teaching.

That is what it is to be a follower of the teachings of the Buddha, and people expect their President to be an example at least to some extent of the teachings of the Buddha.

But Maithripala Sirisena is  a sad example of a very bad Buddhist.  We saw during the General election of the 18 August, 2015, how Sirisena went all out to make his former leader Mahinda Rajapakse looses at the election by sending a letter expressive of his anger hatred, which was undoubtedly prepared with a  fear of an election victory for Mahinda Rajapakse.  In that letter he warned Mahinda Rajapakse that even if he were to win the election he will not be appointed the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka.

Sirisena shamelessly abused his Presidential power  by sacking the General Secretaries of  the SLFP and the UPFA  just a few days before the election appointing his own cronies to carry out his vicious plan to oust the former President Mahinda Rajapakse from politics.

Maithripala Sirisena invented lies to make  Mahinda Rajapakse  unpopular. He said that before the Presidential  election  he was frightened for his life, because he was sure that if he lost the presidential elections he and his family would have been six feet underground in an unknown cemetery. Even after election the fear of what Mahinda Rajapakse is capable of doing did not leave his mind.

But Mahinda Rajapakse is far from what Sirisena  insinuates.  Mahinda Rajapakse respects people and he helped not only the people of Sri Lanka but he fought for the people of Palestine. People point to Sarath Fonseka as an example of Mahinda Rajapakse’s vengeance against people.  But Sarath Fonseka’s downfall was of his own making, and there was a reason at the time of the arrest to believe that he had a secret agenda after the terrorist war. It is the same with the White Van culture some speak as if it is the making of Rajapaksas. It was not so and no one has really proved it as a fact.

Sirisena knew that despite his  victory at the  Presidential election, Mahinda Rajapakse remains much more popular than him.  Hence he uses his Presidential powers  primarily to eliminate the good image of the former President Mahinda Rajapakse in the minds of the people. Hence other matters such as countries administration and Ranil Wickramasinghe’s mismanagement of Yahapalanaya take a secondary place in his priorities.

Maithripala Sirisena has no vision or political intelligence to be vigilant about matters that concern the country as a whole and the people.  He seems to be blissfully unaware of the precipice to which his PM Ranil Wickramasinghe and his cronies are pushing Sri Lanka. He is not concerned with the ECTA agreement with India, Hanuman Bridge proposed to be constructed connecting north of Sri Lanka to Tamil Nadu. To date Sirisena has not made a statement  on these important issues. Because his preoccupation is the fear of loosing his popularity to the former President Mahinda Rajapakse whose rise in popularity amoung the ordinary people of Sri Lanka, seems unstoppable.

If Sirisena is a true Buddhist he should not restrict  Buddhist morality to words to fool the people, but should  be genuine in follow the Buddhist precepts every day at every moment to be a true Buddhist leader, without discrimination against religion , communality or nationality. He should also not distinguish between his friends and his enemies. He should accept every one equally well.as his friends.

Being the President of a Buddhist country, there is a high moral code  to follow. After all a President is different from rest of the people and one expects a very high moral conduct from him. If not he should  either submit his resignation, or change his mental attitude .

Venerable K.Piyatissa thera says in an article “ ….. teaching of the Buddha ….includes the reflection: "Others may be harmful, but I shall be harmless, thus should I train myself." We must not forget that the whole spirit of Buddhism is one of pacification. In the calm and placid atmosphere of the Buddha's teaching there is every chance, every possibility, of removing hatred, jealousy and violence from our mind.”

There is  a Buddhist verse in Dhammapada which reads :He abused me, he beat me,he defeated me, he robbed me of my property.  Whosoever harbour such thoughts  will never be able to still their enmity.

Even in  the  Bible St Luke  verse 27 reads: “But I tell you who hear me : Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you..”

About the May day rally, the argument put forward by the SLFP Ministers is that the division of the SLFP will result in the formation of a UNP Government.  But despite a so called National Government,  the SLFP plays a secondary role and it is really a UNP Government in place  with the  UNP Leader Ranil Wickramasinghe as the Prime Minister implementing his own projects that would cause irreparable damage to Sri Lanka and its sovereignty.

The SLFP Ministers within the Government of Ranil Wickramasinghe   are unable to stop this dangerous march towards disaster.  Therefore a division in the SLFP with  a divided  SLFP one having a May day Rally in Galle and the other in Kirulapone will make no difference. Ranil Wickramasinghe will carry on with his calamitous caravan  whether SLFP “barks”  united or divided.

The ECTA agreement with India, the Hanuman Bridge connecting India and Sri Lanka, the PM  the leader of the UNP has promised sign in June. The first Bond scam was not investigated . The President’s demand to remove the Governor of the Central Bank, has fallen on deaf years. And a second Bond scam had taken place in March this year.

But the SLFP in the Government had been helpless to stop these scandalous affairs taking place.  So why continue with a National government when it is apparent that Sri Lanka is not being governed well in the interest of the country and its people.

Sirisena has not the gumption to be  the leader of the SLFP, because he is not “made” for leadership.  To day as the President of Sri Lanka he plays only a secondary role to Ranil Wickramasinghe his Prime Minister.

That may be one of the reasons why  he has made running down and making false accusations against Rajapaksas his official duty, leaving the running of the Yahapalanaya government to the UNP Prime Minister. Ranil Wickramasinghe  runs the country the way he wants  subordinating it to the West and India, and finally inviting China to provide economic help and start  new projects which would never come from the West or India.

If Maithripala Sirisena is wise he would stop his continuous vengeance against the former President Mahinda Rajapakse.  He should forget the past, and try to be independent taking a Buddhist view, developing compassion and being an indiscriminate benefactor of the people of all religions , nationalities, without  differentiating friends and foes. That is in fact what a President should be.

The present Yahapalanaya government is supported by the separatist Tamils and Muslims and  some of the Sinhala Colombians, UNP sympathisers, JHU,  JVP and others who had  failed to get benefits from the previous Government, and  hope to be seen in a good light by the Yahapalanaya leadership hoping that they will benefit from their support of the President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister  Ranil Wickramasinghe.

But  a larger number of ordinary people remains with Mahinda Rajapakse and if Maithripala Siriseana would not change the  Mahinda Rajapakse’s popularity will increase.

Yahapalanaya the Greatest Hoax played on the people of Sri Lanka.

One does not know where Sri Lanka is or which way it is going.  Since 1948 we had as national leaders, D.S.Senananayake, S.W.R.D.Bandaranaike, Sirimavo Bandaranayaike J.R.Jayawardhana, R.Premadasa, Chandrika Kumaratunga and Mahinda Rajapakse. What ever defects some of them had they proved to be national leaders of distinction.

S.W.R.D.Bandaranayake, Sirmavo Bandaranaike  were exceptionally great leaders and the last Mahinda Rajapakse greatest of all comparatively amoung the ancient Kings like King Dutugamunu. Mahinda Rajapakse was the great leader of the Nation who  eliminated terrorism, brought peace to Sri Lanka and  united it under one flag.

Maithripala Sirisena is the worst we ever had as a President and the  most disastrous at that, who cannot even be called a National Leader.

There are some who will disagree specially the  sympathisers  of the UNP, the political party which failed from the inception to take Sri Lanka along the correct path to progress,   give the culture of Sri Lanka its rightful place, assure communal unity and  recognise the universal value of Buddhism. Today with Maithripala Sirisena  at the helm UNP  has begun its ruinous activities against  the Sovereign state of Sri Lanka.

Maithripala Sirisena the President by accident has no ambition of his own for the the development of Sri Lanka . Maithripala Sirisena is only helping UNP to allow Ranil Wickramasinghe another  political leader  of doubtful patriotism to launch his old political plans for Sri Lanka which he prepared in 2002 to make Sri lanka a sub-state of America.

Ranil Wickramasinghe with Chandrika as the Agents of the West are under obligation to the West to revive LTTE to fulfil its  terrorists creators ambition of a separate State in the  North and East, which the former President Mahinda Rajapakse so painfully prevented with the sacrifice of  thousands of  Sinhala Buddhist Youth.

That great victory over  terrorism and the Western plan to break up Sri Lanka by the former President Mahinda Rajapakse , have now been converted to  a victory for the  LTTE rump the TNA and the Tamil Diaspora to  make the dream of  the terrorist Prabhakaran a reality by  setting up a Tamil Eelam in the North and East for which the Tamil racist Wigneswaran is going all out.   No wise government would have at the present chaotic state dreamt of writing a new Constitution to Sri Lanka. But Yahaplanaya has undertaken it to fool the people and satisfy the West.

Maithripala Sirisena incapable of taking any decision,  depending on Ranil Wickramasinghe and a SLFP on the verge of  collapse, has taken to trumpet blowing due to  his mental emptiness of an intelligent progressive plan for Sri Lanka.  He is gone completely paranoic and stands neither with the UNP or the collapsing SLFP and still barks about vengeance against the former President Mahinda Rajapakse.

Maithripala Sirisena like Kumba Karna is in a long sleep and in that sleep  he dreams, unaware of what is going on in Sri Lanka

When Sirisena finally wakes up from his long sleep, Ranil and  his UNP goons with the help of the SLFP self minding “bath gottas” would have signed the ECTA with India , the Hanuman Bridge would have been built  with a railway line from Talaimannar to Tricomalee connecting Dhanuskodi in India to Trincomalee in Sri Lanka, a new Sri Lanka Constitution supporting Federalism would have been passed, and the North and East of Sri Lanka merged in to a Federal State.

Maithripla Sirisena will wakeup to a Sri Lanka which may be the  37th State of India. Sirisena without enough intelligence to understand  political manoeuvrings of India with the help of Ranil Wickramasinge and his UNP gang still unaware of what has taken place will want Rajapakses hunted.  What a President the people of Sri Lanka elected for a change.

Maithripala Sirisena has really changed Sri Lanka to a subordinate State of India ?   It is all happening without his knowledge.  He wakes up from time to time and says that he does not know the decisions taken by the government. What does he do  at the Cabinet Meetings  ? Is he  day dreaming about how to make Mahinda Rajapakse unpopular ?

He recently said that he left the previous government because the President Mahinda Rajapakse had opposed his suggestion to sack a suspected killer from the SLFP.  This Kumbha Karna  dreams all the time  and is unaware of the reality of Ranil Wickramasinghe and his UNP coteries selling Sri Lanka to the West.

Sirisena’s real reason to leave the previous government was his greed for power, to become the President of Sri Lanka if possible, which he would never been under normal circumstances. He denies that he did not leave  President Mahinda Rajapakse’s government because he was denied the office of Prime Minister.

He brags and blows his own trumpet to show that he is capable of taking decisions on his own without having to depend on Ranil Wickramasoingke, Chandrika and Champika. Mangala who is running to USA to meet John Kerry for instructions does not seem to much care consulting  Maithripala Sirisena about important matters.  That is how he sponsored the American resolution against Sri Lanka itself at the Geneva Human Rights Council.

Maithripala Sirisena brags that he created a government together with the UNP to defeat the system which was not suitable to the country. His lopsided political philosophy is  laughable.  He does not even realise the foolishness of his statement which he makes at the 60th anniversary of the peoples’ victory of 1956.

SWRD Bandaranaike who was the “father” of SLFP left UNP in 1951 because he found the  existing system unsuitable to Sri Lanka and what Maithripala Sirisena does not seem to understand is that he did the exact opposite of what SWRD did taking SLFP back to UNP.

One of the mistakes of the former President of the SLFP Mahinda Rajapakse was to give the Presidency of SLFP to Sirisena, who has no idea of different political systems. Mahinda Rajapakse may of course have had his reasons for that.

Maithripala Sirisena says, “ Though some people are accusing me stating that I created a government together with the UNP by defeating the SLFP, what I did was to defeat the system which is not suitable to the country by bring in a new system ”

This man Maithripla Sirisena  in reality  created nothing. Even he was “created” President by Chandrika,Ranil , and Madoluwawe Sobhitha thero.

Maithripala Sirisena created only chaos in Sri Lanka, by electing Sampanthan as the Opposition Leader, removing the military camps in the North, distributing land that had been occupied by the Army to the Tamils, taking vengeance from Mahinda Rajapakse and his family.
Maithripala Sirisena  has done absolutely nothing for the Country or our Buddhist Culture ever since his election as the President of Sri Lanka, other than executing his sinister  plans to keep Mahinda Rajapakse out of politics.
Sirisena makes another false statement at the same 60th Anniversary of the people’s victory of 1956. He says that;  “ It was the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa who came to agreements with the UNP, much before I established a unity government together with the UNP”. Then he goes on to say, “….. when the agreement between the former president and the UNP was not successful, Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa built a government by taking 27 UNP leaders to the government, giving them ministries ”.
This is a lie ,  with the  aim to discredit the President Mahinda Rajapakse. The 27 members of the UNP led by Karu Jayasuriya during the height of the military operations against the terrorists,  joined the  President Mahinda Rajapakse to support him in his war effort. The UNP leaders at the time along with  Ranil Wickramasinghe himself, Laksman Kiriella, Ravi Karunanayake etc., were ridiculing the Sri Lanka Army Commander and the Armed Forces taking for granted that the Armed Forces were fighting an unwinnable battle against the “invincible” terrorists.
President Mahinda Rajapakse never spoke critically of the UNP or its leader. He was  in fact in very good terms with Ranil Wickramasinghe.  That speaks a lot about  President Mahinda Rajapakse’s tolerance of even his opponents, and his ability to have cordial relations with them. That is what separates Mahinda Rajapakse from the likes of Ranil, Chandrika and Maithripala Sirisena. They cannot hold a candle to Mahinda Rajapakse.
Maithripala Sirisena  talks , and that is all he had been doing since 9th January,2015, while Ranil, Chandrika and Mangala Samaraweera have together taken Sri Lanka as a pawn on to the Western political checker board.
Sirisena shamelessly says, that “As the politicians belong to the 1956 era, we give the prominence to the country and the people. I will be committed to protect the SLFP by strengthening it according to the philosophy of Sir S. W. R. D. Bandaranaike”.
But in reality Sirisena has thrown the political philosophy of S.W.R.D Bandaranaike into a political cesspit becoming  a party to the new political plan designed by  Ranil Wickramasinghe, Chandrika and John Kerry.
They say that a man could be measured from the friends he has.  So is a country.  Sri Lanka the independent sovereign State that it was has become today a failed state  desperately attached to USA, India, and the European Union for its existence.  Having failed to get a dime  from the West it was depending on for the development of Sri Lanka without China, has now turned to China.
China which the Yahapalanaya condemned  for its alignment with Sri Lanka under President Mahinda Rajapakse, and spoke slanderously of  China breeding Chinese children in Sri Lanka is now  being invited to come to its help.  Ranil Wickramasinghe and  the UNP Ministers now sing hosannas for China.
Maithripala Sirisena with those who  “created of him” a President,  is today putting the blame on the former President Mahinda Rajapakse for all mistakes they made since 9 January,2015. A country which was peacefully  and progressively marching as an independent Sovereign State towards development, has been turned into a failed State by the Yahapalanaya Government led by President Maithripala Sirisena. The Yahapalanaya houx has been accomplished, but it assures  its existence on the extent to which they could continue to blame the former President Mahinda Rajapakse.
Paradoxically, the former President Mahinda Rajapakse has become the saviour of  these Yahaplanaya fraudsters.
